Design and Implementation of a Bidirectional Long-Range Communication System for Disaster Management Applications
Abstract: In times of natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, landslides and cyclones, the normal communication lines are frequently cut, thus reducing the ability of the affected people and the relief team to communicate vital information. Cellular networks and Internet-based communication systems could be compromised in the event of a loss of power, damage to infrastructure or network congestion. Thus, it is necessary to have a communication system that will be dependable, …

Experimental Investigation on the Seismic Disaster Mitigation of Unreinforced Brick Masonry Buildings
Abstract: The Himalayan region is considered to have the potential to produce earthquakes of magnitude 8.0 or greater once every 100 years. Since the occurrence of an earthquake cannot be prevented; therefore, seismic disaster mitigation remains the only option for the civil society. Unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings, constructed with stone or brick, are very common in Northern Pakistan part of Himalayan belt. The seismic performance of stone masonry was found very …

SEISMIC ANALYSIS OF BASE ISOLATION FOR PROTECTION OF RURAL BUILDING OF DIFFERENT SHAPES
Abstract: India is a developing country, more than 50% of Indian population lives in unreinforced masonry structures. Masonry structures are vulnerable to seismic loading and load acting in it’s out of plane, hence performs poorly and sometimes leads to sudden collapse. Collapse of structure not only damages public property but also costs the lives of people. Base isolation techniques for these types of structure can be proven to be beneficial, in …

VALIDATION OF WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLAN AT TARADGAON REGION USING GEOPHYSICAL & GIS TECHNIQUES
Abstract: Water is an essential requirement for the survival of the living organisms on earth planet. Though it seems to be available in sufficient amount, unfortunately its distribution in space and time is highly scattered. Therefore, water resources management practices should be identified using the spatial data set collected through remote sensing and other tools for its optimistic usage and exploration. This study investigates the utilization of Geophysical and GIS Techniques …

UNDERGROUND CABLE FAULT DETECTION CAR
Abstract: Abstract:-Underground cables along with additional buried assistance can be identified and examinedusing an apparatus known as a cable detector. This is carried out by passing a signal into the earth andthen receiving it back through an antenna. Utilising the received signal endurance, the exact positionand depth of the underground question are found. In doing mining and construction work, this helpsprevent unintended injuries. There are numerous different types of underground cable …

A Review Study on Dynamic Analysis of Multistoreyed Buildings by using Seismostruct Software
Abstract: Civil Engineering structures are designed to withstand environmental forces like earthquake, along with gravity loads. These forces are random and dynamic in nature. Therefore the response of the structure is also dynamic and that is what causes the unsafe and uncomfortable conditions. So, performance based analysis of the structure is required which can be achieved by Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) as well as Response Spectrum analysis (RSA). But, Incremental dynamic …
