A Review on Hybrid Inorganic–Polymer Analog Nanocomposites Incorporating Pozzolanic Wastes and nano-Additives
Abstract: The recent progress of polymer matrix nanocomposites (PMNCs) reveals that the performance of matrix and filler is at the core of matrix–filler interaction, interfacial bonding, and well-controlled distribution of nanoscale reinforcements. Applying these concepts, we consider inorganic particulate systems as hybrid nanocomposites, in which a discontinuous inorganic matrix is effectively reinforced via synergistic co-incorporation of pozzolanic wastes and nano-additives. In the composite system described above, silica-, alumina-rich pozzolanic materials serve …

Effects of Sub-Zero Temperatures on the Viscoelastic Properties of Magnetorheological Elastomer
Abstract: Magnetorheological elastomers (MREs) are smart materials capable of tuneable stiffness and damping under applied magnetic fields. This renders the material as a promising candidate for adaptive vibration control and semi-active engineering applications. While their behaviour at elevated temperatures has been widely explored, limited attention has been given to their performance under sub-zero conditions, which are critical for cold-environment applications. As this has become an important concern, the study investigates the …

Recent Advancements and Layering Techniques in Nanoparticle-Reinforced Hybrid Composites: A Comprehensive Analysis
Abstract: This review examines the advancements in nanoparticle-reinforced fiber composites, focusing on natural fibers, synthetic fibers, hybrid composites, and fiber metal laminates (FMLs). Nanoparticles such as SiO₂, TiO₂, Al₂O₃, and graphene, introduced at 0.5–3% volume, have significantly enhanced mechanical, thermal, and wear properties. Comparative studies reveal that hybrid composites reinforced with 1–2% nanoparticles show a 20-30% increase in tensile strength and a 15-25% improvement in thermal stability compared to non-reinforced composites. …

A Novel Approach to Ceiling Fan-Based System for Preventing Suicide by Hanging
Abstract: Suicide by hanging has become a significant public health issue in India. According to reports from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), a considerable number of hanging cases are reported annually, with the majority being suicidal in nature. Homicidal cases disguised as hanging are extremely rare. Accurate differentiation between suicidal and homicidal hanging requires thorough examination of the crime scene in an undisturbed condition, followed by a detailed autopsy investigation. …
