Smile Perfection with Veneers: Current Concepts and Techniques
Abstract: Veneers represent one of the most remarkable developments in dentistry over the last 25 years. The breakthrough that porcelain could be bonded to composite materials and subsequently to the tooth surface has transformed aesthetic dental treatment. Veneers not only improve facial aesthetics but also enhance self-esteem, positively influence personal interactions, and can even play a role in professional advancement. These restorations offer excellent cosmetic outcomes while maintaining a significant portion …

Polymer-Based Medical Restraints: Advances in Polymer Chemistry for Enhanced Patient Safety
Abstract: Medical restraints play a crucial role in ensuring patient and staff safety during medical procedures, particularly when dealing with individuals who may be at risk of self-harm or unintentional movement. Traditional restraints, often made from rigid materials or fabric straps, present several challenges, including patient discomfort, pressure injuries, and incompatibility with advanced medical imaging techniques such as MRI and CT scans. Moreover, traditional materials may deteriorate over time, diminishing their …

Synthesis and antibacterial studies of some bivalent transition metal ions Zn (II), Cu (II) and Ni (II) complexes of Schiff’s base derived from some substituted aromatic aldehydes.
Abstract: In this study, Schiff bases were synthesised through the condensation of aromatic aldehydes with primary amines and subsequently complexed with Ni(II),Zn(II) and Cu(II) ions. The formation of the metal complexes was confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy, which identified the key functional groups involved in coordination. The biological activity of the prepared compounds were studied with the help of selected bacteria like E. coli , Pseudomonas. and B. sereus.. The results obtained …

Comparative Investigation on Mechanical Properties of AMCs Fabricated through Liquid and Solid-State Fabrication Process
Abstract: This current research work is primarily focused on comparative experimental study on effect of two distinct fabrication process routes i.e. liquid state and solid state process and their corresponding parameters on microstructure and micro-hardness properties of Aluminium matrix composites (AMCs). In this work, AMCs were fabricated by reinforcing Al2O3 powder materials of 5, 10 and 15 wt.% into pure Aluminum (Al) matrix phase through two distinct processes; liquid state (stir …

Mechanical Characterization of Green Composite Brake Pads Reinforced with Coconut Shell Waste
Abstract: In the present work, coconut shell powder proposed as a replacement material for the eco-friendly brake linings. The composites for brake pad were developed with other sizes of the coconut shell particles, namely (200 µm, 300 µm, 400 µm and 500 µm) The developed samples were evaluated for morphological, mechanical, physical and worability properties. The SEM micrograph proved that the coconut shell particulates are well dispersed in the composite everywhere …

A Comprehensive Investigation of Bagging-Based Ensemble Methods for Improving Machine Learning Model Robustness
Abstract: Machine learning models such as Decision Trees, Logistic Regression, and K-Nearest Neighbors are widely used for classification tasks due to their simplicity and interpretability. However, these models often suffer from high variance, overfitting, and poor generalization when applied to real-world datasets, particularly those that are small, noisy, or imbalanced, as commonly encountered in healthcare, finance, and cybersecurity applications. To address these limitations, this research proposes a Bagging (Bootstrap Aggregating)-based ensemble …

Design And Fabrication of Contactless Magnetic Gears
Abstract: Modern engineering prioritizes speed, efficiency, and reliability, spurring innovations like contactless magnetic gear systems that transmit torque through interacting magnetic fields from permanent magnets, eliminating physical contact to drastically cut friction, backlash, wear, lubrication needs, and heat—operating silently with minimal vibration and peak efficiencies up to 99% under ideal conditions, outperforming traditional gears in low-speed, high-torque direct-drive applications such as motors. The design centers on two rotors: an outer high-speed …

Crystal Defects and Their Characterization in Modern Materials Science
Abstract: The physical and chemical properties of crystalline solids are fundamentally dictated by deviations from structural perfection, known as crystal defects. From the point-scale vacancies that drive diffusion to the planar boundaries that determine mechanical strength, defects serve as the primary "tuning knobs" in material design. This review provides a comprehensive examination of point, line, and planar defects, exploring their formation energetics and their role in plastic deformation via crystallographic slip. …
