Evaluation of Effect of Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash Modified Cold Bituminous Emulsified Mix
Abstract: Initiatives are emerging worldwide to strike an equilibrium between the developments in infrastructure and control of environmental contamination by reusing wastes. About 70 % of the Indian population depends on agriculture, and abundant agricultural waste is generated each year. The use of these wastes in pavement construction provides a suitable solution to some of the ecological concerns and troubles associated with waste management. Sugarcane Bagasse Ash (SCBA) is a waste …

Influence of the Modification of Resol Phenolics on the Properties of Glass and Cotton Fiber Laminates
Abstract: Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite based on resol phenolics awaits special attention due to excellent inherent properties of the resol phenolics. In this study, modified resol phenolics by unsaturated polyester (UP) and epoxidised novolacs of simple phenol, o-cresol and p-cresol were used to fabricate glass and cotton FRPs. An overall enhancement of 25% in tensile strength and 40% in impact strength is achieved upon modification for both the modified laminates. …

Exploring The Performance Dynamics of Basalt Fibre Reinforced Polymers: Mechanical and Viscoelastic Insights
Abstract: Basalt fibre reinforced polymer (BFRP) composites are gaining significant attention as sustainable alternatives to traditional reinforcement materials due to their superior mechanical performance, thermal stability, and eco-friendliness. This study examines the tensile, flexural, impact, and viscoelastic properties of BFRP composites fabricated via vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM) using varying fibre volume fractions (20%, 30%, and 40%) and fibre orientations (unidirectional and bidirectional). The results reveal that composites with 40% fibre …

Mechanical Characterization of Prosopis Juliflora Fibre-Reinforced Epoxy Composites for Sustainable Automotive Applications
Abstract: This study investigates the potential of Prosopis juliflora (PJ) fibre as an eco-friendly, economical, and mechanically efficient reinforcement for epoxy-based polymer composites. Composite samples were produced using the compression moulding technique with epoxy-to-fibre weight ratios of 90:10, 85:15, and 80:20. Mechanical tests, including tensile, flexural, impact, and hardness evaluations, were conducted in accordance with relevant ASTM standards. The incorporation of PJ fibre resulted in significant improvements in the mechanical behaviour …

Effect of Nutritional Counselling on Risk Level of Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) of Middle-aged Non-insulin Dependent Diabetics
Abstract: Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is a form of hemoglobin that is measured primarily to identify the average plasma glucose concentration over a prolonged period of time. As the average amount of plasma glucose increases, the fraction of glycosylated hemoglobin increases in a predictable way. This serves as a marker for average blood glucose levels over the previous months prior to the measurement. Present study was conducted on diabetic patients who were …
