Study of an Improved Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization-Based Framework for Neural Network Optimization in Modelling of Polymer Data
Abstract: The accurate forecasting of polymer viscosity at various physicochemical conditions has been quite critical due to the nonlinear interactions and interrelations between the variables. This paper suggests a better hybrid modelling framework, which involves the use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and more advanced versions of Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization (QPSO) to better predict polymer viscosity. The input parameters taken are, namely, log (shear rate), polymer concentration, NaCl concentration, Ca …

Potential of Particle Size Mix Ratios of Plantain Ogoni Red with Clay Soil: The Integrity of Adsorbent Performance in AGO Treatment in Fresh Water Environment
Abstract: The research is focus on monitoring the performance of various formulated adsorbent mix ratio of clay soil with some agro-based materials in treatment of contaminated water environment. The agro-based material used was Plantain Ogoni Red (POR) and fresh water environment was used for this research. The agro-based material was processed into different particle sizes of 150 𝜇m, 300 𝜇m, 600 𝜇m and 1.18 mm and the clay soil into fine …

Floating In-Situ Gel for Gastric Retention Delivery
Abstract: When taken orally, medications with a limited window of absorption in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) are typically accessible to the extremities due to the partial release of the active component and the brief residence period at the absorption site. Because they prolong the duration of the drug's presence in the stomach, they are made with high density and have the capacity to swell. Because oral fluids go more quickly through …

Assessment of Hygiene Degradation and Expiry Indicators in Household Bedding Products
Abstract: Household bedding products such as pillows, bedsheets, blankets, and mattresses play a crucial role in ensuring comfort, sleep quality, and overall health. However, prolonged use without timely replacement or proper maintenance can result in hygiene degradation, leading to the accumulation of dust, allergens, microorganisms, and chemical wear. This study aims to assess the factors contributing to hygiene decline and to identify reliable indicators of expiry for common bedding items. The …

A Comparative Study of Oven, Spouted Bed, and Convective Tunnel Drying Methods of Mango for Oil Production
Abstract: Mango seeds, with a high moisture content exceeding 70% (wet basis) require effective drying methods to ensure their preservation and to enhance the quality of derivative products like mango seed oil. Proper drying is essential to inhibit enzymatic activity and microbial growth, which extends the shelf life of these seeds. This study investigates multiple drying techniques, including conventional oven drying, spouted bed drying, and convective tunnel drying, to determine their …

Analytical Method Development and Validation of Simultaneous Estimation of Natural Active Constituents Andrographolide and Piperine by UV Method.
Abstract: A simple, accurate, precise, and robust UV-Visible spectrophotometric method was developed and validated for the simultaneous estimation of Andrographolide and Piperine in bulk and combined pharmaceutical dosage forms. Preformulation studies confirmed favorable physicochemical properties for both drugs, including acceptable solubility profiles, melting points, pH values, and partition coefficients. The method development involved determination of λmax values at 224 nm for Andrographolide and 288 nm for Piperine using ethanol as solvent. …

Physicochemical Transitions and Polymerization Dynamics in Multi-Generational Dentin Adhesives: A Critical Review of the Resin-Dentin Composite Interface
Abstract: Adhesive dentistry has undergone a transformative refinement over the past three decades, transitioning from technique-sensitive, multi-step etch-and-rinse protocols to streamlined universal formulations. This narrative review critically synthesizes evidence from thirty peer-reviewed investigations to evaluate the evolution of dentin bonding agents from the fourth through the eighth generations. The analysis places particular emphasis on the physicochemical dynamics of the resin-dentin interface, including interfacial bond strength metrics, marginal integrity, and microleakage behavior. …

Harnessing Marine Byproducts and Optimization of Biopolymer Extraction Quality Using Response Surface Methodology and Study of Its Physicochemical Properties
Abstract: Chitosan, a versatile biopolymer derived from chitin, holds immense potential across various industries owing to its antimicrobial, antioxidant, and biocompatible properties. This study aims to optimize the deacetylation process of chitin, sourced from shrimp shells, using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to produce high-quality chitosan. The Box-Behnken Design (BBD) was employed to evaluate the effects of temperature, time, and alkali concentration on the degree of deacetylation (DD%), a key determinant of …

Zeolite-Y Encapsulated Copper (II) and Cobalt (II) Species as Hybrid Nano-catalysts: Structural and Catalytic Aspects
Abstract: Special properties inherent to zeolites in facilitating the construction of novel upramolecular assemblies by encapsulation of guest molecules (metal complexes) into their large cages can be utilized to use these assembled materials as novel catalysts. These modified solids have the advantages of both behaving as the homogeneous and the heterogeneous catalytic system. In the present work, copper (II) and cobalt (II) complexes of 2-amino ethanoic acid (2-AEA) encapsulated in the …
