Finite Element Analysis of Thin Shell Loaded at the Center
Abstract: Thin rectangular shell structure with clamped edges subjected to concentrated load at the center is modeled as symmetric structure using ANSYS. The shell structure is examined with different length and width combinations. The SHELL181 element is used to model this structure. In general, the results show good agreement with mechanics of materials’ solutions or design tables’ results. A convergence study of the shell structure shows that 10000 elements are sufficient …

SEMI-AUTOMATIC COW LIFTING MECHANISM
Abstract: There is a great difficulty faced by the farmers due to lack of machinery needed to move cows manually and are struggling much because of the high costs involved in handling the problem. The primary challenge dairy farms face is lifting the cow that has fallen over owing to excess weight gained during pregnancy, a leg injury, or an infection. These cows must be lifted by at least two people, …

Effectiveness of Medicated Cord Care and Dry Cord Care in Promoting the Healing of Cord of Neonates in Selected Hospital at Bangalore
Abstract: The umbilical cord connects the baby to its food and oxygen supply in the womb, and is clamped and cut at birth. The cord stump dries, shrivels and becomes black before falling off the baby's belly button, 5 to 15 days after birth. Without proper care, the baby may become infected through the stump. Usually the cord is kept clean and dry by loosely covering it with clean clothes. The …

A Short-term Evaluation of Limb Reconstruction System as a Primary and Definitive Mode of Management in Fresh Open Fracture in Both Bones of Leg
Abstract: Open fractures require immediate surgical intervention, emphasizing prompt intravenous antibiotic therapy, irrigation, and debridement to minimize infection risks. The Limb Reconstruction System (LRS), which includes Shanz pins, rail rods, and sliding clamps, operates as a single-plane, one-sided rail system. This system provides strong fracture fixation, allows for early weight-bearing, and helps minimize costs. Challenges arise in tibial open fractures due to substantial soft tissue damage and bone loss, often resulting …
