Influence of Bi2O3 on Physical, Optical and gamma radiation Properties of BaO-Bi2O3-B2O3-CuO and BaO-Bi2O3-B2O3-Fe2O3 glasses
Abstract: In this present work glasses with chemical composition 30BaO-XBi2O3-(69-X)B2O3-1CuO and 30BaO-XBi2O3-(69-X)B2O3-1Fe2O3 (X = 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 mole%) have been prepared and labeled as BBBC and BBBF series, respectively. Traditional quenching method was employed for making these samples. XRD diffractograms confirmed that the materials were amorphous. Physical, optical and structural properties were studied with the influence of Bi2O3 concentration. The density of both BBBC and BBBF series …

Bridge Scour by HEC-RAS Model: A Case Study over Ganga Bridge
Abstract: Lacey’s equation is often used to find out the scour depth in rivers in India. Lacey’s regime formula (1930) was developed on the basis of limited field data from irrigation canals in Punjab Province having discharge ranges from 0.70 to 173 m3/s. The total scour at a highway crossing is comprised of three mechanisms: long-term aggradation-degradation, contraction of reach, and local scours at piers and abutments. In the present study, …

ABER of Transmit Antenna Selection with Maximal Ratio Combinining-MIMO System over Nakagami-m Fading Channels
Abstract: AbstractThis paper presents the average bit error rate (ABER) of a multiuser, multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) wireless system. Transmit antenna selection at the base station and maximal ratio combining at the receiver is considered for downlink transmission. For coherent and noncoherent modulation schemes, ABER performance of the system is analyzed. The closed form expressions have been derived for ABER considering Nakagami-m fading channels. The effects of fading parameter …

Effect of Tareeq (Sweating) in Waja-ul-Mafasil (WM) of Samane Mufrat (Overweight/Obesity)—A Study
Abstract: Samane Mufrat (obesity) occurs due to decrease in hararate ghareezia (innate heat). It is a chronic and increasingly common disease characterized by excess body fat. It is more prevalent in women because of their barid mizaj (cold temperament). The shaham wa sameen (fats) are barid ratab (cold wet), so they accumulate in barid mizaj individuals. As body mass index (BMI) values increase, joint pain symptoms and severity increase. Joint pain …
