Opportunities and Challenges for Improving the Development of Sustainable Modes of Transportation in India – E- Highway Buses
Abstract: The Indian transportation sector, while contributing significantly to economic growth, also plays a major role in air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions have adverse effects on public health and worsen climate change, necessitating a shift towards sustainable transportation solutions. Electric buses have shown promise as an alternative to diesel buses, but their limited range poses a challenge for long-distance routes due to battery technology. This study investigates the …

Node Deployment Techniques for Link Prediction in Heterogeneous Social Networks
Abstract: AbstractThis research analyses the coverage problem in heterogeneous social network system with two types of sensor nodes having different sensing ranges. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is implemented for coverage optimization in heterogeneous network system. This algorithm is used for finding the optimal deployment of the sensor nodes by using specific fitness function. The performance of sensor nodes after running PSO algorithm is evaluated by using Euclidean distances for …

Dual Powered Two-wheeler for Vendors
Abstract: Today the major problem faced by the Indians is the day by day fuel cost increment. We are introducing a new method to reduce fossil fuel usage without compromising on the efficiency of our two-wheeler with reduction in the overall fuel cost. We can increase the efficiency and reduce pollution by the usage of this dual powered vehicle. The objective of this paper is to construct an efficient petrol bike …

Automatic Language Identification using Basic Signal Class
Abstract: Automatic language identification (ASLID) is a problem of identifying an unknown language from spoken utterance by a computer. A segmental approach to ASLID based on the assumption that the acoustic structure of languages can be estimated by segmenting speech into three basic classes of speech signals. This paper presents a procedure of ASLID with the details of methodology and the results without recognizing the words, but the lengths segments of …

Supply Chain Design Considering Social and Environmental Risks
Abstract: The aim of the research is to design a supply chain taking into account social and environmental risks. In this research, an attempt was made to present a model that, by considering variables close to the real world, simultaneously considers cost and sustainability issues for designing a meat supply chain network, including locating facilities, using technology in them, how products flow in the network, etc. In order to examine the …

A Review of Telepharmacy: Advancements, Challenges, and Future Directions
Abstract: Like telemedicine, telepharmacy is a relatively new term that describes the delivery of pharmacological services. While tele comes from the Greek word “Telos,” which means from a distance, medicine comes from the Latin word “Meden,” which means to heal. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy defines telepharmacy as the use of information and communication technology to provide patients with pharmaceutical treatment from a distance. Clinical pharmacy services are provided …

A Value-Belief-Attitude Model of Local Food Consumption
Abstract: The paper explores the Value-Belief-Attitude (VBA) model of local food consumption, investigating how cultural, social, and economic factors influence attitudes toward local food. Key considerations include the importance of regional cuisines, support for local farmers, and the health benefits of fresh, locally sourced produce. The paper also delves into the concept of “locavorism” as a consumer ideology centered around the trustworthiness and benefits of local foods. Additionally, it examines long-term …

Review of Simulation Techniques for Microscopic Mobility of Pedestrian Movement
Abstract: Simulation techniques are very useful for developing models or systems over time torepresent the real-world scenarios. The model represents the key characteristics orbehaviors/functions of the selected physical or abstract system or process. Simulationtechniques are useful when the real system cannot be engaged, because of inaccessibility,or dangerous or is unacceptable to engage or does not exist. Microscopic characteristicsof pedestrian traffic consider speeds, walking directions, distances between pedestrians, relative positions, passing behavior and …
