A Comprehensive Review on Red mud as Construction Material and its Utilization for Environmental Advantage
Abstract: These materials can help to further decrease pollution and disposal difficulties when utilized effectively in civil engineering applications. Red mud, a byproduct of converting bauxite into aluminum, collects and occupies an increasing amount of deforested area because of its high alkalinity. With little chance of being used, an estimated redmud of 116 tons are created year globally, posing a major risk of contamination and pollution. However, because they will be …

Maternal and Infant Pollutant Exposure through Breastfeeding in Industrial Punjab
Abstract: Because of their lasting presence, bioaccumulation in the food chain and/or potential for transferring to infants through breastfeeding, environmentally persistent chemical pollutants, such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds (PFAs), pesticides, heavy metals and industrial emissions, represent significant public health threats. A study was conducted using a structured questionnaire to gather information about maternal demographics (age, education, marital status), how mothers were exposed to environmental contaminants through occupational activities, the ways …

Impact of Environmental Degradation on Steel City of Odisha: A Geospatial Approach
Abstract: Earth has always had an abundance of natural resources, but as the number of people on the planet grew, so did their needs, and they were taken from the environment at an ever-increasing rate. Depending on the kind of pollutant, the duration and intensity of exposure, as well as other elements like an individual's health risks and the combined effects of several pollutants or stressors, the effects of air pollution …

Crossroads of Ecology and Medicine: Evaluating Pollutant-Induced Risks to Biodiversity and Human Health
Abstract: Environmental pollution has emerged as a central challenge at the crossroads of ecology and human medicine. The rapid pace of industrialization, urbanization, and agricultural intensification has led to an unprecedented release of pollutants into the air, water, and soil—triggering cascading effects on ecosystems and human health. Pollutants such as particulate matter, heavy metals, pesticides, microplastics, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and persistent organic pollutants not only degrade biodiversity but also exert multifaceted health …

Passive Digital Phenotyping for Longitudinal Burnout and Occupational Mental Health Surveillance: A Transformer-Based Explainable Deep Learning Approach Using Smartphone Behavioral Streams
Abstract: Occupational burnout constitutes a pervasive yet chronically under-surveilled public health threat, its insidious temporal evolution rendering episodic self-report instruments structurally inadequate for early detection. This paper introduces BurnoutSense, a passive digital phenotyping framework that continuously harvests eight heterogeneous smartphone behavioral data streams encompassing application usage ecology, communication metadata, geospatial mobility, screen interaction dynamics, inferred sleep rhythmicity, keystroke kinematics, ambient noise exposure, and battery/charging cadence to construct individualized multivariate behavioral signatures …

Exploring the Genetic and Environmental Factors Contributing to Ovarian Cancer in Women in Mumbai, India
Abstract: Background: Ovarian cancer incidence in Mumbai has risen by 30% over the past decade, with an age-standardized rate of 9.1 per 100,000 women, contrasting stable trends in Western nations. This study investigates the interplay of genetic and environmental factors driving this disparity in Mumbai’s diverse population. Methods: A hospital-based case-control study was conducted at a hospital, enrolling 200 epithelial ovarian cancer cases (aged 30–70 years) and 400 age-matched controls. Germline …

Neurotoxic Effects of Chronic Arsenic Exposure Among Leather Tannery Workers in Kanpur
Abstract: Chronic arsenic exposure is a known health risk, with potential neurotoxic effects. In industrial settings like leather tanneries, workers are particularly vulnerable due to prolonged exposure to chemicals, including arsenic. This study aims to investigate the neurotoxic effects of chronic arsenic exposure among leather tannery workers in Kanpur, focusing on symptoms of neurological damage and related health outcomes. To evaluate the prevalence of neurotoxic symptoms among leather tannery workers in …

Awareness and Knowledge of Postpartum Psychosis Among Antenatal Women: A Call for Educational Intervention
Abstract: Postpartum psychosis (PP) is a rare yet critical mental health disorder that poses serious risks to the well-being of new mothers. This condition manifests through a range of acute symptoms, including manic episodes, depressive states, confusion, hallucinations, and delusions. Symptoms typically present abruptly within the first two weeks following childbirth, making it a medical emergency that necessitates urgent care. Left untreated, PP can lead to severe consequences, including self-harm or …

Role of a Nurse in Addressing Mobile Addictions
Abstract: Nurses are essential in recognizing, evaluating, and addressing mobile addiction by using their skills in thorough screening and assessing patients' histories. Through keen observation and structured assessments, nurses can detect signs of mobile addiction, such as social withdrawal, disrupted sleep patterns, and neglect of personal responsibilities. It is crucial to establish this initial identification promptly to begin timely interventions and provide necessary support to those affected. Patient education stands at …

Autonomous Agentic AI for Adaptive Cure Optimization and Defect Prevention in Thermoset Polymer Composite Manufacturing
Abstract: Thermoset polymer composites occupy a central position in modern structural manufacturing, from aircraft fuselages to wind-turbine blades. Despite progress in resin chemistry and fiber architecture, the “cure process” that transforms compliant preforms into load-bearing structures remains difficult to manage. Manufacturers encounter ‘voids’, “interlaminar delaminations”, and “spring-back distortion” when curing complex or thick-section parts. The cause is not ignorance of the relevant physics, but rather that ‘temperature’, ‘chemistry’, ‘rheology’, and ‘mechanics’ …
