Evaluation of Pharmacopoeial and Quality Control Standards of Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. Seeds
Abstract: ABSTRACTThe seeds of the plant Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. (Fam: Nymphaeceae) are used against the ailments of poor digestion, enteritis, chronic diarrhea, insomnia and palpitation. In view of its medicinal importance, the present study was conducted to standardize the drug using pharmacognostical, physico-chemical and WHO methods. Microscopical studies show the presence of cotyledonary parenchyma cells filled with starch grains, palisade-like cells and non-lignified thick-walled sclerenchyma cells. TLC of chloroform and alcohol …

Excess Acoustical Study of Binary Liquid Mixture with Experimental Parameters at Different Temperatures
Abstract: Excess acoustical parameters such as excess ultrasonic velocity (UE), excess acoustic impedance (ZE), excess Molar Volume (VmE), excess free length (LfE) and excess adiabatic compressibility (bE) have been discussed between the component molecules in terms of their intermolecular interactions of the binary liquid mixture containing Aniline with Toluene from temperatures T = 303.15 to 318.15 K. These excess parameters have been calculated from the values of densities (r), ultrasonic velocities …

Optimization of Mobile Phase and Stability—Indicating HPTLC Method for the Determination of Prasugrel Hydrochloride in Pharmaceutical Dosage Form
Abstract: A simple and sensitive high-performance thin layer chromatographic method was developed and validated for Prasugrel hydrochloride. It was spotted on silica gel 60F254 TLC plates, developed using toluene:methanol (9.9:0.1, v/v) as mobile phase and scanned at 258 nm using a Camag TLC Scanner IV. The Rf value of Prasugrel hydrochloride were found to be 0.53±0.03. It was found to be linear in the concentration range of 300–1500 ng/band. The limit …

HPTLC Method Development and Validation of Genistein and Daidzein Estimation in Mucuna cochinchinensis Seed Extracts
Abstract: Aim: The current study was designed with the objective to estimate the concentration of Genistein and Daidzein in ethyl acetate extract of Mucuna cochinchinensis by high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC).Methods: The separation of bioactive compounds was performed using mobile phase, Toluene: n-Butanol: Glacial Acetic Acid: Water (1:4:2:2) and detected at wavelength 254 nm. The method was validated for linearity, accuracy, precision, limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) by …

HPTLC Fingerprinting of Isoflavonoids and Metabolites Quantification from in vivo and in vitro Developed Parts of Pueraria tuberosa (Willd.) DC
Abstract: Pueraria tuberosa (Willd.) DC, a medicinally important plant, produces different types of isoflavonoids including Genestein. This plant requires conservation. In present study, callus was developed from in vivo tuber and in vitro seedling. Murashige and Skoog medium supplement with combination of BAP (6-Benzylaminopurine) (1.5mg/l) and 2,4-D (1.5mg/l) were found to be more effective. Fresh in vitro shoots produced from nodal explants of in vitro germinated seedling on MS medium supplement …
