Power of Optical Sensors in Remote Sensing: A Study
Abstract: Imagine having eyes that could pierce the veil of the visible, discerning the subtle whispers of light beyond the spectrum our everyday vision allows. This isn't a superpower from science fiction, but the very essence of optical sensors in remote sensing – our planet's watchful, silent sentinels, meticulously translating the electromagnetic symphony into actionable insights. Optical sensors, operating within the visible, near-infrared, and short-wave infrared portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, …

Clone-Specific Drug Delivery Systems: Targeted Approaches and Future Clinical Applications
Abstract: Clone-specific drug delivery systems represent a transformative frontier in personalized medicine, addressing the longstanding challenge of clonal heterogeneity within diseases such as cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders. Traditional drug delivery platforms often fail to discriminate between pathogenic and healthy cells, leading to systemic toxicity and reduced therapeutic efficacy. In contrast, clone-specific systems aim to selectively target and eliminate disease-driving cellular clones based on unique molecular signatures, thereby improving treatment …

Gold Nanoparticle Size, Biodistribution, and Toxicity: Insights from DualEnergy CT
Abstract: Dual-energy and spectral computed tomography (CT) have emerged as powerful platforms for noninvasive, quantitative mapping of nanoparticle biodistribution in vivo. By exploiting the energy-dependent attenuation profiles of high-atomic-number (high-Z) materials, these systems enable material decomposition and element-specific imaging, thereby distinguishing nanoparticle signals from those of soft tissues and conventional iodinated contrast agents. Photon-counting spectral CT further enhances this capability by binning individual photons into multiple energy channels, improving spatial resolution, …

Validation of Watershed Management Plan at Taradgaon Region Using Geophysical & GIS Techniques
Abstract: Water is an essential requirement for the survival of the living organisms on earth planet. Though it seems to be available in sufficient amount, unfortunately its distribution in space and time is highly scattered. Therefore, water resources management practices should be identified using the spatial data set collected through remote sensing and other tools for its optimistic usage and exploration. This study investigates the utilization of Geophysical and GIS Techniques …

Emerging Role of Drone Technologies in Environmental Research: Trends, Applications, and Future Directions
Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly called drones, have rapidly transformed environmental research and management over the past decade. Their flexibility, improving sensor payloads, and ability to collect high-resolution spatial and temporal data make them powerful tools across disciplines — from biodiversity monitoring and precision agriculture to water quality assessment and disaster response. UAVs bridge the gap between ground-based surveys and satellite remote sensing by offering near-real-time, fine-scale data acquisition that …

The Parasitic Fingerprint: Tracing Infection to Host Illness
Abstract: Parasitic infections remain a major global health burden, causing significant morbidity and mortality, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. A critical aspect of disease pathogenesis is the unique molecular and cellular imprint left by parasites in their hosts, termed the “parasitic fingerprint.” These fingerprints encompass parasite-derived proteins, nucleic acids, metabolites, extracellular vesicles, and host responses, including gene expression changes, cytokine profiles, and metabolic adaptations. Advances in multi-omics technologies, which integrate …

Spatial variations of land surface temperature and its relationship with the type of land use/cover
Abstract: Environmental parameters are intricately interdependent and affect nearby and sometimes distant components. Environmental parameters become more important when dealing directly with humans. Land surface temperature (LST) is one of the environmental parameters that when it is related to the city as the main center of human gathering, it is referred to as urban heat island (UHI). Land use/ Land cover (LU/LC) is one of the important environmental parameters that affect …

Assessment of Soil Erosion Impacts at the Panchhari Sub-district of Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh Using Remote Sensing and GIS Techniques Based on RUSLE Model
Abstract: Soil erosion has been identified as a significant issue around the world. It is often exacerbated due to land deterioration, conversion of agricultural land, and other anthropogenic activities. It negatively impacts soil productivity, water quality deterioration, river and reservoir bed sedimentation, nutrient loss, and sustainability of natural resources. Understanding the controlling factors of soil erosion can help us to identify erosion-prone areas and improve land use management. The novelty of …
