Smart Bank Locker Security System
Abstract: This paper introduces a smart bank locker security system that aims to improve the reliability and security of locker access in banks. The system has a Raspberry Pi 4B as the controller, with face detection and fingerprint scanning used for dual-factor authentication. The fingerprint scanner and facial recognition unit identify the user's identity prior to access. After successful verification, a relay is triggered to open the locker. A liquid crystal …

Voltage Vigilance: Ensuring Balance and curbing Theft in Power Distribution Networks
Abstract: This project proposes a system for detecting electrical overload and earth faults using an Arduino Uno controller. The system uses a current sensor to identify overloads and a voltage sensor to detect earth faults. An ESP8266 module allows users to switch between the two fault detection modes. When an overload is detected, the Arduino turns off AC bulbs using a relay and sends an alert message via a GSM module. …

AI-Based Software-Defined Satellite in Decision Making: A Study
Abstract: For decades, satellites have been a vital infrastructure, relaying communication signals, observing Earth's climate, and providing critical navigation data. However, the traditional model of satellite operation is often rigid and reactive, relying heavily on pre-programmed instructions and ground-based control. This limits their flexibility and responsiveness in a rapidly changing environment. Enter software-defined satellites (SDS), and now, the game-changer: artificial intelligence (AI). Imagine a satellite that can independently analyze its surroundings, …

A Comprehensive Study of Sensor and Camera Fusion for Real-Time Parking Space Detection
Abstract: Due to the rapid growth in urban vehicle density, there have been major problems in the effective management of parking space, which has caused congestion, more traveling time, wastage of fuel, and environmental pollution. Conventional parking systems are very ineffective, as they are based on manual surveillance and cannot provide drivers with much real-time information. To overcome these challenges, the present paper explores the design, development, and operation of a …
