Optimization of Operational Parameters for Production of Bio-ethanol from Red Gram Straw
Abstract: AbstractBio-alcohol is a neat and cleaner source of energy, which could be obtained from locally available biomass. However, the complex structure of lignocellulose in biomass makes a primary protective barrier that prevents cell destruction. In order to break down this structure for the conversion of biomass to fuel ethanol, the cellulose and hemicellulosic materials must be broken down to corresponding monomers (sugars). It could be done easily with acid hydrolysis …

Review of Carbohydrate Conversion Using of Catalytic Study
Abstract: Carbohydrates make up around 75% of yearly biomass resources, with cellulose as the most attractive due to its widespread access and, very significantly, the fact that it will not conflict with meals. To liberate the components of lignocellulosic material, it can be fractionated using thermochemical and physical processes, as well as biological and other biochemical methods. Components like Lignin, hemicellulose, and cellulose with cellulose making for almost near about 45 …

Influences of Surface Modification of Vetiver Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene Composites
Abstract: Plant-drive vetiver fiber (VF), a significant lignocellulosic fiber, can be included in polymers like polypropylene (PP) in dissimilar ways for attaining preferred features and structure. But its high levels of moisture absorption, poor wettability and inadequate adherence between the fiber and polymer matrix result in debonding with age. To develop the overhead attributes, adequate surface modifications are essential. In our current work, the VF surface was modified by mercerized treatment (MVF), …

Multifunctional Corn Husk Fibre/PLA–PBAT Hybrid Composites with Carbon-Black Percolation for Structural Self-Sensing Applications
Abstract: This study developed multifunctional polymer composites based on a PLA/PBAT (Polylactic Acid/ Poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)) thermoplastic matrix reinforced with 20 wt.% corn husk fibre (CHF) and functionalized with conductive carbon black (CB) for smart consumer-electronics casings. Alkali treatment modified the lignocellulosic fibre surface, improving fibre–matrix interfacial adhesion and stress transfer within the polymer composite. Thermal characterization showed that the PLA cold-crystallization temperature decreased from 112.5 °C for the unfilled blend to …

The Insect Microbiome: Reviewing the Mutualistic Ties Between Insects and Microbes
Abstract: Insects are the most diverse and abundant class of animals on Earth, occupying virtually every terrestrial and freshwater ecological niche. A primary engine driving their evolutionary radiation, nutritional versatility, and physiological resilience is their intimate association with microbial symbionts. The insect microbiome, comprising bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protists, spans a continuum from transient environmental commensals to obligate intracellular mutualists. This review comprehensively synthesizes current knowledge on the functional architecture, transmission …
