Comprehensive Analysis of MRSA Peptides Via Maldi
Abstract: The present study employed Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time-of-Flight mass spectrometry to analyze methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus peptides, focusing on various parameters associated with mass-to-charge (m/z) values. Through systematic data collection and analysis, including time, intensity, signal-to-noise ratios, quality factors, resolutions, areas under the peaks, relative intensities, full widths at half maximum, Chi-squared values, and background peaks, comprehensive insights into the spectral characteristics of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus peptides were obtained. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus …

Polymeric Approach in Microplastic Degradation Mechanisms
Abstract: Microplastics (> 5 mm size), are silently infiltrating ecosystems on a global scale. The persistence of microplastics in terrestrial and aquatic surroundingss poses a significant ecological and surroundings challenge. Thus, understanding and development of effective degradation mechanisms to mitigate the persistence of microplastics in the surroundings is required. Natural degradation pathways, such as photodegradation, biological degradation, and abiotic degradation have been explored. Polymeric materials possess unique properties that can be …

Review: Virulence factors, resistance genes and pathogenicity of Moraxella catarrhalis
Abstract: An estimated 2-4 million cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) in adults are exacerbated by Moraxella catarrhalis annually in the US, making it a pathogen of increasing significance for respiratory tract infections. It often colonizes the nasopharynx without causing any symptoms and an opportunistic bacterial infection of the respiratory mucosa that is exclusive to humans. In our study, we reviewed references about the important virulence factors that M. catarrhalis possess …

Fabrics and medical devices (catheters) coated with Zn doped CuO nanoparticles kills micro-oganisms and provide healthy environment
Abstract: These days, drug resistance by microorganisms is a major challenge in the field of medicinal chemistry. Most of the familiar antibiotics turnout to be of no impact in curbing the proliferation of microorganism (bacteria, virus and fungus). To address the issue of multi-drug resistance (MDR) and extremely drug resistance (EDR) in microorganisms that cause various health complications, like the dental decay, biofilm formation, foul smell, delayed wound healing, aggravation of …

Risk Factors Associated with Subclinical Mastitis in Dairy Cows: Implications for Microbial Dynamics, Environmental Influences, and Management Factors
Abstract: Subclinical mastitis is a prevalent yet often overlooked condition in dairy cows, leading to reduced milk yield and quality. This study examines the microbial dynamics, environmental influences, and management factors contributing to subclinical mastitis in dairy herds. Microbial agents, including bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Streptococcus uberis, are key contributors, with their ability to persist and form biofilms complicating detection and treatment. Environmental factors, including bedding quality, …

Pathogens in Nosocomial Infections: Epidemiology, Resistance, and Control Measures
Abstract: Nosocomial infections, also known as healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), are a serious global health issue, leading to higher patient morbidity, prolonged hospital stays, and increased medical costs. Various pathogens—such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites—are responsible for these infections, especially in healthcare environments where they easily spread. They can be transmitted through direct contact with infected patients, contaminated medical equipment, or even airborne particles.Patients with weakened immune systems, those requiring prolonged …

Exploring Polymer Biocomposite as a Sustainable Filter for Water Treatment
Abstract: The present study explores the utilization of polylactic acid (PLA), a renewable polymer combined with surface-modified nanocellulose (SMNC), and pectin derived from Borassus flabellifer leaves and fruits respectively. Existing methods of filtration are synthetic and affect the environment and public health at an alarming rate thereby making biopolymer-based membranes a greener and effective approach for water treatment. PLA-SMNC-pectin biofilm was fabricated using 88.5 mg PLA, 3.5% (wt. % of PLA) …

Forage Bioactive Compounds and Rumen Microbiota: Exploring Colonization, Density, and Diversity Dynamics in Dairy Cows
Abstract: The rumen microbiota plays a pivotal role in the health, productivity, and sustainability of dairy cows, with forage serving as a fundamental dietary component influencing microbial dynamics. This review explores the intricate interactions between forage bioactive compounds – such as tannins, saponins, alkaloids, and flavonoids – and the rumen microbiota, focusing on their effects on colonization, microbial density, and diversity. Forage bioactives modulate microbial adhesion, biofilm formation, and growth patterns, …
