Characterization of Synthesized Heterocyclic Oxadiazole Derivatives Using Mass, UV, IR, and NMR Spectroscopy, Among other Spectroscopic Techniques: Review
Abstract: The current study synthesized and assessed 3-heteroarylazo 4-hydroxy coumarin derivatives' initial antibacterial activities in vitro against four distinct pathogenic bacterial strains, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus. Ampicillin, a common medication, was used to compare each compound's antibacterial properties. UV, IR, 1H NMR, mass spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction examinations were used to analyze the compounds. By using UV–vis spectra, the solute-chromic behavior of these compounds was …

Microbially Modified Sustainable Cementitious Composites Using Industrial Ash Fillers
Abstract: The growing demand for sustainable, durable construction materials has driven the development of bio-engineered cementitious composites incorporating industrial by-products and self-healing mechanisms. This study investigates a microbially modified cementitious composite that integrates industrial ash fillers with bacteria-based self-healing technology to enhance mechanical performance and microstructural integrity while reducing cement consumption. Cement was partially replaced with industrial ash at 20%, 30%, and 40% replacement levels, and a uratolytic bacterial strain (Bacillus …

Development of Cotton and Cotton Gauze Fabric Coated with Swietenia microphylla Bark as a Wound Contact Layer
Abstract: The present work discusses the development of cotton and cotton gauze-based bandage using mahogany. The biological properties of mahogany bark extract have been identified. The 25% concentration of mahogany extract have been treated directly and kept at room temperature for conditioning. Further the antibacterial activity of mahogany-treated samples have been evaluated against wound infecting pathogens (AATCC- 147) Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Serratia marcescens and Staphylococcus aureus. …

Stingless Honeybee’s Rare Sugar and PCSK 9 - LDLR Interaction, A New Hope for Hormone Dependent Breast Cancer Patients – An In-silico Study
Abstract: Hypercholesterolemia is a lipid disorder characterized by elevated levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), commonly known as "bad" cholesterol. This condition is a significant risk factor in the development and progression of hormone-dependent breast cancer, as well as in the emergence of resistance to hormonal therapy. One of the key regulators of cholesterol metabolism is the proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type-9 (PCSK9) protein, which facilitates the degradation of the LDL receptor (LDLR) …
