Li-Fi in Surgery: A Study
Abstract: The operating theatre is increasingly saturated with wireless devices that contend for limited radiofrequency (RF) spectrum, creating a latent risk of electromagnetic interference (EMI) with lifesupporting equipment. Light Fidelity (LiFi), a visiblelight communication technology that modulates LED illumination to transmit data, offers a compelling, RFfree alternative for intraoperative networking. This study investigates the feasibility, performance, and clinical impact of deploying a LiFi infrastructure to support highdefinition video streaming, realtime telemetry, …

Comparative Analysis of Serial and Parallel Robot Mechanisms for Industrial Automation
Abstract: Serial and parallel manipulators represent two major mechanical architectures in industrial automation, each with distinct strengths and trade-offs. This study presents a detailed comparative analysis of serial-chain (open-kinematic) robots and parallel-kinematic manipulators (PKMs) with a focus on industrial automation tasks. It covers kinematics, static accuracy and stiffness, dynamics and actuation requirements, control and calibration burdens, workspace and singularity behaviour, and practical industrial considerations (cost, integration, safety, maintenance). Serial robots, exemplified …

Innovative Garbage Sorting Solutions for the Glass Industry
Abstract: One of the main factors contributing to global pollution, which is increasingly becoming a serious health concern, is the growing amount of trash in our cities. Furthermore, the continuous exposure of garbage collectors to solid waste can result in health issues and labor scarcity. We provide a novel solution to these problems: an autonomous trash collector that can go around and look for rubbish. Trash is collected by the automatic …
