Dielectric Studies of 0.5Ba0.8Ca0.2TiO3.0.5CaCu3Ti4O12 Nanoceramic Fabricated by Chemo-mechanical Process
Abstract: The present investigation is aimed toward investigate a straightforward, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly chemo-mechanical method for preparing high-dielectric materials, specifically 0.5Ba0.8Ca0.2TiO3.0.5CaCu3Ti4O12 (BCT-CCTO), by combining metal nitrate combustion with solid TiO2 powder and titanium isopropoxide, Ti (OR)4. The composite was prepared by the mixing of individual materials of Ba0.8Ca0.2TiO3 and CaCu3Ti4O12 through the chemo-mechanical method. Initially, 99% pure Ba (NO3)3, Cu (NO3)2∙3H2O, TiO2 and glycine were taken in their stoichiometry ratios. …

Activating agents control the morphology of activated carbon materials from biomass
Abstract: The stems of the plant Calotropis gigantea (Cg) were were used as a feedstock for the activated carbon material. Carbonate (K 2 CO 3 ) and oxalate (Na 2 C 2 O 4 ) were used as chemical activating agents. The morphological features of the activated carbon materials were characterized using FEG-SEM. The morphology of the activated carbon materials is found to depend on the type of activating agent used. …

Solid-State Reactions: Mechanistic Insights, Kinetic Behavior and Emerging Applications in Advanced Materials
Abstract: Solid-state reactions are fundamental to the synthesis and transformation of inorganic materials, playing a crucial role in the development of ceramics, semiconductors, catalysts, and energy storage systems. Unlike reactions in liquid or gaseous phases, they are limited by restricted atomic mobility and typically require elevated temperatures to enhance diffusion and overcome activation energy barriers. These reactions proceed through interfacial contact between solid reactants, followed by nucleation of product phases and …

Ultrasonic Dispersion of Halloysite Nanotubes for Enhanced Mechanical, Thermal, and Morphological Performance of Epoxy Composites
Abstract: Halloysite nanotube (HNT)-reinforced epoxy nanocomposites were prepared by mixing HNT with bisphenol-A epoxy (LY 556) using ultrasonication, followed by compression molding. HNT contents of 0–5 wt.% were used. The composites were evaluated for tensile strength, flexural strength, Shore D hardness, Izod impact strength, and thermal stability using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The fractured tensile surfaces were also examined to understand the failure mechanism and interaction between HNT and the epoxy matrix. …
