E-waste Trends and Sustainable Practices in India
Abstract: It is impossible to assume a day without electronic products. Since the development of modern age, electronic items have made our life easier by reducing our efforts significantly and by saving our time. Each electronic item has a specific lifetime, after which, they should be either recycled using appropriate channel or should be discarded which most of the countries like India were facing difficulties in. Day by day, many innovative …

A Novel PWM Based STATCOM Controller for Power Quality Enhancement in Distributed System
Abstract: Static Synchronous Compensator has the capability for the improvement in damping factor and stability by managing the reactive power output. As the STATCOM will itself absorb the reactive power which comes from the distribution line when we apply the capacitive load. To get the higher performance of STATCOM we are mainly depend over control algorithms. As the real power factor has been absorb by the STATCOM at the time when …

Video Telephony using Cable TV Distribution Network
Abstract: This paper focuses to implement video telephony using cable TV distribution network. We had used coaxial cable which is main part of cable TV network and it provides efficient bandwidth for video telephony. The major design issue to implement full-duplex communication channel for audio-video information and establish switching control section for routing the signal to the destination. We had chosen coaxial cable for communication link because it is already established …

An Efficient General Distributed Parameter Approach to the Line Transient Analysis using Interpolating Function
Abstract: This paper presents an efficient technique for the time-domain determination of the electromagnetic transients along general transmission lines. The lines can be uniform or nonuniform. The technique is also applicable to line models incorporating dependent sources, such as the distributed voltage-dependent current sources usually adopted for simulating the line corona. The suggested approach is based on the concept of the interpolating functions for the numerical solution of just two simultaneous …

Handoff Call Queuing in Distributed Dynamic Channel Allocation Strategy
Abstract: ABSTRACT It is important to utilize the channels very efficiently in cellular system as these channels are meager. In this paper, A Distributed Dynamic Channel Allocation (DDCA) strategy is applied for channel allocation in 9-cell system having non-uniform traffic. Square shape cells with nine cell cluster size have been considered for model development with GSM 1800 specification. The model also considers fixed channel reservation (5–15% of total channel per cell) …

Clinical Practice: The Differential Diagnosis of Dental Pain
Abstract: In clinical dental practice, patients often present with pain in the oral cavity. While some oral pain may be generalized in nature, the clinician has to consider other factors that involve pain and discomfort. Many symptomatic teeth do not need endodontic treatment – on the contrary, they have undiagnosed occlusal problems, caries, fractures or referred pain. For the teeth needing endodontic treatment, this paper provides several modes of diagnostic methodology. …
