ENERGY LOSSES IN FLOATING OFFSHORE WIND TURBINE WITH VARIABLE WIND DIRECTION
Abstract: The paper analyses the effects of the variation of wind direction onto the performance of a floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT). The evolution of the Cp coefficient is developed as a function of the velocity of the yaw angle correction when realigning the FOWT after a wind direction change. The results are computed for velocities correction of the yaw angle between 1º/min and 5º/min. A maximum drop of the Cp …

Simulation Model-based Transient Behaviour of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator in a Wind Energy Conversion System
Abstract: A Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG)'s transient behaviour is how it reacts to abrupt alterations or disruptions in the power system. DFIGs are widely used in turbines for wind power along with other renewable energy technologies. Recognising the transient behaviour is necessary to guarantee the power system's sustainability and dependability. This study presents the Simulink model-based demonstration of the transient behaviours of a doubly fed induction generator. Additionally included is a …

Ethylene in Post-harvest Quality Management of Horticultural Crops: A Review
Abstract: Ethylene is a naturally occurring plant hormone that is produced by many fruits and vegetables. It initiates the ripening process when internal concentrations increase to 0.1 to 1.0 ppm. Externally applied ethylene can also initiate the ripening process in climacteric fruits. Ethylene is flammable at a concentration of 3.1–32% in air. The minimum flammable concentration of 3.1% or 31,000 ppm is about 200 times the concentration suggested for tomato ripening. …
