Surface-Driven Capillary Flow of Aqueous Microparticle Suspensions as Working Liquids in the PMMA Microfluidic Devices
Abstract: AbstractPolymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) microfluidic devices have been fabricated by the maskless lithography, hot embossing lithography, drilling and direct bonding technique. The influence of effective viscosity on the speed of surface-driven capillary flow of aqueous microparticle suspensions has been studied. The surface-driven capillary flow of any particular aqueous microparticle suspension is faster in the microchannel of larger channel aspect ratio. Also, the surface-driven suspension flow is faster on the surface of higher …

Sustainable Epoxy Composites Enhanced by Cellulose Nanocrystals for Structural and Thermal Applications
Abstract: This study presents the advancement and behaviour analysis of sustainable nanocomposites reinforced with cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs), a biodegradable and high-aspect-ratio nanofiller derived from microcrystalline cellulose. CNCs were incorporated into a bisphenol-A-based epoxy matrix at varying concentrations (0, 1, 3, 5, and 7 wt%) to assess their influence on mechanical, thermal, and viscoelastic properties. The tensile strength of the composites increased significantly, from 45 MPa for neat epoxy to 65 MPa …

Evaluating Groundwater Suitability for Both Domestic and Agricultural Uses in Shaligowraram Mandal, Nalgonda District, Telangana State
Abstract: Groundwater is the primary source of drinking and irrigation water in semi-arid regions of India, making its quality assessment essential for sustainable water resource management. This study evaluates the hydrogeochemical characteristics and suitability of groundwater in Shaligowraram Mandal, Nalgonda District, Telangana, India. A total of 42 groundwater samples were collected during the pre- and post-monsoon seasons to assess seasonal variations in groundwater chemistry. The samples were analyzed for major physico-chemical …

Studies of Environmental Effect of Aluminium-2014 Alloy in 1m Acetic Acid using Extratcted Inhibitor
Abstract: AbstractThis examination considers distinctive natural elements influencing consumption under marine inundation conditions and proposes a scientific model consolidating their impacts on erosion corruption through the boat life. The examination receives a nonlinear capacity of time as the reference erosion model aligned with operational consumption information at long haul normal conditions to speak to the erosion conduct under standard natural conditions.Based on recently acquired field information, an erosion disintegration model is …

Multifunctional Lignin-Modified Jute/Bio-Epoxy Composites with MWCNT-Based Piezoresistive Self-Sensing for Sustainable Housing Applications
Abstract: This study develops a multifunctional natural-fibre-reinforced polymer composite based on alkali-treated jute fabric, bio-based epoxy, kraft lignin and a small amount of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), with particular emphasis on polymer-matrix modification, fibre–matrix interfacial behaviour and intrinsic damage sensing. Kraft lignin was incorporated at 0, 2, 4 and 6 wt.% to examine its influence on polymer-chain mobility, interfacial morphology, thermal stability and mechanical response, while 0.5 wt.% MWCNTs was introduced …

Laser Beam Machining Techniques and Applications: A Review
Abstract: Laser beam machining (LBM) is the most common thermal energy-based non-contact, non-conventional machining process. The non-conventional manufacturing processes are used to remove extra material using a variety of mechanical, thermal, electrical, chemical, or combinations of these energies without the use of sharp cutting tools as is required for conventional manufacturing. With innovative approaches to manufacturing processes, it has transformed a number of industries. It is frequently used to machine a …

A new method of phytoplankton concentration as a cycle of solving environmental problems and obtaining energy from high-quality biofuel (lipid oil)
Abstract: The stagnant zones of fresh lakes, formed due to increased reproduction of phytoplankton in stagnant water under the influence of the sun, pose a serious threat to the environment, leading to the death of phytoplankton and fish, releasing hydrogen sulfide and making the water unsuitable even for agricultural use. In this regard, the development of a method for concentrating phytoplankton from "green water" becomes an urgent task associated not only …

Failed Component Image Acquisition Quality Optimization for Machine Vision System
Abstract: AbstractWith the rapid development of the global semiconductor industry, electronic products are required to have new ideas, diversified functions, and thinness and shortness. The ball grid array (BGA) packaging technique arranges solder balls in a matrix mode on the bottom of the component substrate, so as to increase the functional density. The dye stain test is extensively used for array component failure analysis; however, the operation takes time and extends …

The Role of Cholesterol in Biological Membranes
Abstract: Cholesterol plays the role of a regulator that ensures the correct packaging of the lipid part of the membrane, which is necessary for its normal operation, by influencing on the mobility of the fatty acid tails of membrane lipids: if the membrane is too rigid and there is a danger of "freezing" of fatty acid chains, cholesterol causes it to liquefy, since the chains in its presence become more mobile; …
