Battery Energy Storage Optimization for Enabling Black Start in Offshore Wind Farms
Abstract: The transition toward power systems dominated by renewable energy sources (RES) introduces significant challenges to the provision of black start services. Black start units are essential for restoring power following a system-wide outage; however, the gradual retirement of conventional generation reduces the availability of such resources, potentially compromising grid resilience. Offshore wind farms (OWFs) are increasingly considered as viable alternatives for black start support. Nevertheless, their inherent variability and intermittent …

Data Structure Driven Probabilistic Deadlock Resolution in Multiprocessor Systems
Abstract: Deadlock resolution in multiprocessor systems is fundamentally a graph-theoretic and probabilistic decision problem. Existing victim selection heuristics, such as youngest, oldest, and lowest priority, apply static rules that overlook the dynamic runtime state of processes, leading to unnecessary computational loss. This paper reframes the inference-guided preemption (IGP) algorithm as a data-structure-centric solution, highlighting how resource allocation graphs, wait-for graphs, adjacency lists, min-heaps, and hash-based evidence stores interact to enable efficient …

Autonomous Agentic AI for Adaptive Cure Optimization and Defect Prevention in Thermoset Polymer Composite Manufacturing
Abstract: Thermoset polymer composites occupy a central position in modern structural manufacturing, from aircraft fuselages to wind-turbine blades. Despite progress in resin chemistry and fiber architecture, the “cure process” that transforms compliant preforms into load-bearing structures remains difficult to manage. Manufacturers encounter ‘voids’, “interlaminar delaminations”, and “spring-back distortion” when curing complex or thick-section parts. The cause is not ignorance of the relevant physics, but rather that ‘temperature’, ‘chemistry’, ‘rheology’, and ‘mechanics’ …

A Smart Framework that Combines Data Mining and Optimization for Different Applications
Abstract: Blending predictive data mining with metaheuristic optimization has become essential for tackling tough, real-world problems across all kinds of fields. Most existing methods stick to fixed algorithms, each focused on a tiny slice of the puzzle, barely budging when new variables or unpredictability show up—especially with messy, human-generated data. So, here’s the idea: a Unified Metaheuristic and Predictive Data Mining (UMPDM) framework that finally connects adaptive search methods with powerful …

Viscoelastic Behavior, Interfacial Mechanics, and Reliability of Polymer Interlayers in Laminated Glass Composites: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: The laminated glass systems are regarded as hybrid polymer–glass composites where the viscoelastic behavior of polymer interlayers mostly controls mechanical response. These interlayers (polyvinyl butyral (PVB), ionoplast, ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), etc.) have time-, temperature- and rate-dependent properties which significantly affect shear transfer, energy dissipation, and fracture resistance. But the baseline polymer-relevant processes at the molecular and interfacial level are to a large extent unknown [1]. This review provides a materials-focused …

Study of Proximity Points and Fixed Points
Abstract: This paper explores the concepts of proximity points and fixed points, which are fundamental in mathematical analysis and nonlinear functional analysis. Fixed-point theorems play a crucial role in optimization, game theory, differential equations, and dynamic systems. Proximity points, an extension of fixed points, provide a more generalized approach, allowing near-coincidence rather than exact identity. The study discusses classical fixed-point theorems, such as Banach’s contraction principle, Brouwer’s fixed-point theorem, and Schauder’s …
