Piled Raft Design Approach for a High Rise Building on Tithal Road, Valsad, Gujarat
Abstract: ABSTRACTThe piled raft foundation has been efficiently used for the foundation of high rise structures. A typical high rise building generally imparts higher load on central core area due to existence of lifts, elevators and shear walls, comparison to the edge area. The shallow foundation may not control the settlement and the pile foundation cost may be expansive for the foundation of high rise structures. The piled raft foundation can …

Evaluate Variations of Deflections of Fixed Headed Pile from Non-Linear Load - Deflection Curve under Lateral Loading
Abstract: Lateral stability is the vital issue when the pile stands in several soft clay either sand layers. In reality, structure and soil both are show non-linear behaviors. Proper evaluation of non-linear behavior has not so essay in theory. However, slight non-linear effects are included in pile deflection from load-deflection curve of pressuremeter test in laboratory. Pressuremeter modulus is influenced deflection of fixed headed piles. Predicting the variations of non-linear load …

Effect on tunnel under varied pile loading using finite element analysis
Abstract: Use of underground space is increasing in densely populated cities. Underground excavation required extensive analysis for ground stability and to ensure the performance of a structure. Specific concerns arise during the design of the underground structures, such as the impact of excavation on nearby ground and existing building in the vicinity of excavation. Above ground structures may subject to disturbances due to any underground construction activity. This paper identifies the …

Evaluation of Equal Settlements of Geosynthetic Reinforced Piled Embankment
Abstract: Geosynthetic-Reinforced Pile-Supported Embankments (GRPSE) have emerged as an effective alternative to traditional geotechnical methods Constructing of piled embankments on soft soils. Design of pile-reinforced embankments and evaluation of plane of equal settlements is critical in the case of soft soils. If the embankment height exceeds the height of the plane of the equal settlements, settlements cannot be seen on the pavement, otherwise, differential settlements may be observed on the pavement. …
