Bird-Tree Associations and Co-occurrence Patterns in Delhi: Implications for Urban Ecological Restoration and Invasive Species Management
Abstract: Urban trees and birds are intertwined indicators of ecological resilience in cities. This study maps citywide bird-tree interactions in Delhi, India, hosting more than 300 avian species. The city was divided into hexagonal grids, and bird-tree data (506 interactions) were collected through field surveys across 131 sites using standardised 1-kilometre transects. Native keystone species like ficus supported the greatest bird diversity, while invasive Prosopis juliflora was widely used for perching …

Punjab’s Wetlands as Inland Analogues of Marine Ecosystems: Status, Stressors and CommunityLed Conservation.
Abstract: Aquatic and wetland ecosystems in Punjab, India, represent ecologically significant yet increasingly degraded socioecological systems embedded within an intensively managed agrarian landscape. Despite their recognised importance, existing studies largely treat these systems using conventional freshwater ecological frameworks, with limited integration of microbiologically mediated processes and broader ecosystem theories. A key research gap, therefore, lies in the lack of interdisciplinary approaches that can holistically interpret wetland structure, function, and governance across …

Study on Extraction and Purification of Phytochemicals from Eichhornia Crassipes Leaves
Abstract: Eichhornia crassipes is an aquatic plant that belongs to Pontederiaceae family. It is commonly known as water hyacinth. This annoying plant has been a recurring issue that should have been managed. In comparison to other natural plants and fibers, the seeds of these plants may survive up to 28 years at the water’s surface and have developed extremely quick growth properties. The water hyacinth is regarded as the world’s most …

The Evaluation of the Light Parameters and Pleural Fluid Cholesterol to Determine the Differences Between Exudative and Transudative Pleural Discharge
Abstract: Background: Pleural effusion occurs when an imbalance between pleural fluid production and absorption leads to the accumulation of excess fluid in the pleural cavity. Pleural effusions are commonly classified into two types: transudative or exudative, depending on the underlying mechanism of fluid formation. While transudates typically result from systemic factors like heart failure or liver cirrhosis, exudates are usually caused by local factors such as infection, malignancy, or inflammation. Differentiating …
