Partial transmits sequence (PTS) is one of the methods used for reduction of the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) scheme. In this, as the number of sub-blocks and rotation factors increases PAPR is reduced. While increasing the number of subcarriers, the complexity exponentially increases and thus, there occurs the process delay. An adaptive PTS scheme collectively with localized and interleaving technique has been proposed in this paper for PAPR reduction of an OFDM system. The proposed method is more effective than ordinary PTS reduction scheme because of having lower PAPR value and requirement of lesser number of inverse fast Fourier transformations (IFFTs) with reduced computational complexity.
