Abstract

Channel capacity and peak average to power ratio are essential elements in offering dependable communication through wireless medium in this competing wireless communication system. The rating of an amplifier in an OFDM system, as well as prospective future candidates of 5G systems such as FBMC and UFMC, is affected by a high peak to average power ratio. The demand for channel capacity fluctuates due to the growing number of wireless network users. MIMO-OFDM (Multiple Input Multiple Output and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is a compelling method for increasing the capacity of various fading channels. The employment of a power allocation method, however, limits the channel capacity. The Water Filling power allocation method is responsible for the current channel capacity. The goal is to develop, analyse, and apply an efficient PAPR reduction mechanism for OFDM systems based on improved Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS). The capacity augmentation of a MIMO OFDM system has also been described in the suggested research using a water filling technique to improve the efficiency of the OFDM system. The proposed study was compared to other recent algorithms such as Selective Mapping and Clipping. To visualise the performance of the suggested algorithm, capacity improvement strategies were also compared. In the proposed system, there was a 5% drop in channel capacity and peak average to power ratio. MATLAB is used to perform a detailed study, and the results are thoroughly presented to gain a better understanding of cooperative network dynamics.
