Zigzag Systematic Sampling Scheme For Finite Population

Abstract

In the present study, a new sampling scheme is proposed in the systematic setup for estimation of the population mean. The explicit expressions for variance of the sample mean are obtained and compared with the variance of the sample mean of Simple Random Sampling (without replacement) and Linear Systematic Sampling in the presence of a linear trend, two way linear trend and trend of the form . Keywords: Zigzag systematic sampling, systematic sampling, linear trend, two-way linear trend Cite this ArticleAritra Mukherjee, Abhishek Singh.
