Zigzag Systematic Sampling Scheme For Finite Population

Abstract: In the present study, a new sampling scheme is proposed in the systematic setup for estimation of the population mean. The explicit expressions for variance of the sample mean are obtained and compared with the variance of the sample mean of Simple Random Sampling (without replacement) and Linear Systematic Sampling in the presence of a linear trend, two way linear trend and trend of the form . Keywords: Zigzag systematic …

Tail Reoriented Systematic Sampling Scheme for Finite Population

Abstract: This study discusses about a new sampling scheme in the systematic setup for estimation of the population mean. The expression for the variance of the sample mean is derived and a comparative study is with the variance of the sample mean of simple random sampling (without replacement), linear systematic sampling and stratified sampling in the presence of linear trend, two-way linear trend and trend of the form
