Determination of the Antidiabetic Drug Miglitol in Pharmaceuticals by Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography
Abstract: Miglitol (MGL) is a drug used in the treatment of type-2 diabetes mellitus. A new analytical method employing ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) with UV-detection is presented for the determination of MGL in bulk drug and tablet forms. Analysis was performed in less than 3 min in isocratic mode on a reversed phase BEH C18 (100 mm × 2.1 mm; 1.7 µm particle size) column using phosphate buffer of pH 3.7-acetonitrile …

Steroidal Heterocycles: A Review
Abstract: During recent years a large number of modified steroids containing heteroatom in the steroid nucleus have been synthesized. There are a number of methods to synthesize heterocyclic steroids which posses various biological properties. Many heterocyclic groups viz., pyridine, pyrimidine, pyrazole, oxazole, piperazine, isoxazole, thiazole can be attached to steroidal nucleus. Development and Characterization of Bifonazole Nitrate Nanosuspension Loaded Topical Gel
Abstract: Objective: The goal of the present study was to formulate and evaluate nanosuspension-based topical delivery system of bifonazole nitrate (BN) or increased saturation solubility and controlled drug release. Methods: BN nanosuspension was prepared by pearl milling technique using zirconium oxide beads as a milling media, poloxamer 407 as a stabilizer and glycerol as wetting agent. Effect of various process parameters such as, stirring time and poloxamer concentration were optimized. The …

Development and Validation of a UV-Spectrophotometric method for the Estimation of Nintedanib Esylate in Bulk and its Formulation
Abstract: The present work represents a UV spectrophotometric method for the estimation of Nintedanib Esylate in pure and its formulation. Methanol was used as a solvent. Nintedanib Esylate exhibit absorption maxima at 391 nm. The developed method obeyed Beer-Lambert’s law in the concentration range of 3-18 µg/ml having a line equation Y = 0.065x + 0.001 with a correlation coefficient of 0.999. There is no interference from any pharmaceutical excipients. The …
