Comparative Study of Structural and Ionic Properties of Doped Zirconia Electrolytes for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells
Abstract: The current study looks at yttria and scandia doped zirconia electrolytes for application in solid oxide fuel cells. Samples with (i) 10 mol% yttria, (ii) 5 mol% yttria and 5 mol% scandia, and (iii) 10 mol% scandia in zirconia host lattice were prepared by mixed oxide method and were sintered by conventional heating at 1400°C for six hours. The samples were then analysed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron …

Determination of Object Position and Orientation Using Image Processing Technique
Abstract: A method for measuring position and orientation of an object was determined by making use of image processing technique. The position of light sources gives a geometrical constraint between them. Three light sources was designed and constructed at appropriate positions with respect to camera (webcam), the processed/programmed images directly give the coordinate values (x and y) of each of the light spot which were used in calculating their distances apart …

Preparation and Structural Characterization of PVP-CH3COONa Based Polymer Films
Abstract: PVP based polymer electrolyte films were prepared by dissolving sodium acetate with different wt.% compositional ratios by solution cast technique. XRD revealed the crystalline phase of the prepared samples. XRD pattern demonstrated a wide peak at 29.35° attributed to the host polymer indicating orthorhombic cross section showing semicrystalline phase. FTIR and Raman studies affirmed to identify the functional group of the materials, bond formation between the dopant salt and the …

Studies on the DC Characteristics of Microelectronic AlGaN/GaN HEMTs
Abstract: In this work, total 3752 individual simulation-outputs are reported. Total 25 individual microelectronic single-heterojunction AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) structures are designed and simulated in this work using the SILVACO-ATLAS software tool. In this work, drain voltage and gate voltage are electrical parameters to determine the DC characteristics of HEMTs. Aluminium mole fraction is the structural parameter in this purpose. The effects of drain voltage and gate voltage on …

Fractality of Magnetospheric Dynamics: A Diffusion Entropy Approach
Abstract: There are several self-organization processes in physics such as second-order phase transitions and associated scale-invariant phenomena, structure formation in thermodynamic systems away from equilibrium, self-organization of solitons into vortices in magnetized plasma etc. Space plasmas often display very complex behavior which includes multiscale dynamics, spatio-temporal chaos and self-organized criticality. The study of self-organization in magnetospheric plasma and its relation with instabilities is a subject at the forefront of space research …

Strange Quark Matter Coupled to String Cloud in Five Dimensional Bianchi Type-III Space Time in General Relativity
Abstract: In this paper the author has studied higher dimensional Bianchi type-III cosmological models with strange quark matter coupled to the string cloud in general relativity. I have also attained different classes of solutions by taking different functional forms of metric potentials. Here I investigated that models are expanding, shearing and non-rotating. Also, some physical and kinematic nature of the model was analyzed. Keywords: Five dimensional Bianchi type-III space time, quark …

A Study on Radiation Effects in Acrylonitrile-AMPS Copolymer
Abstract: Radiation behavior of Acrylonitrile AMPS copolymer has been investigated by Electron Spin Resonance (ESR), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) techniques. Temperature dependent ESR studies indicate that free radicals responsible for irradiated copolymer decay at around 100°C. Presence of macro-radicals and polyene radicals is detected. FTIR spectra of copolymer of unirradiated and irradiated are compared and chemical groups influenced by gamma irradiation are identified. The studies suggest that chain cleavage occur either …

A Field Effect Transistor Synthesized using Multiple Al-doped ZnO Nanorods
Abstract: The different Al-doped ZnO nanorods and a SiO2 gate insulator has been used to make nanorod field-effect transistors (FETs). The utilization of numerous nanorods gives higher on-current without significant declination in threshold voltage move and subthreshold inclines. It has been recorded that the on-current of the different ZnO nanorod FETs increases around directly with the quantity of nanorods, with on-current flows of roughly 1.8uA for each nanorod and little change …

Sonochemical Synthesis of SrBaFexMo2-xO6 (x=1.0, 1.1, 1.3 and 1.4) Double Perovskites: Characterization and Magnetic Properties
Abstract: This work investigates ultrasound assisted synthesis, characterization and magnetic properties of SrBaFexMo2-xO6 (x=1.0, 1.1, 1.3 and 1.4) double perovskites. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed proposed that samples are in single phase. It was found that lattice constants decrease with increase in composition x. Morphology of all samples was examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images. Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) data confirmed purity and nonexistence of foreign elements in prepared …

Hybrid Quark Model and Six-Quark Probability
Abstract: In the hybrid quark model (HQM), when the distance between the two nucleons is greater than a certain cut off radius, they maintain their identity as nucleons but when the distances between the two baryons is smaller than a certain cut off radius, then the baryons overlap to form a six-quark bag. The fact that the probability to find six-quark for does not have to be the same as that …

Dielectric Constant/Dielectric Loss Measurements in Vectra-A, Liquid Crystal Copolyester
Abstract: The most significant advantage of studying the charge storage mechanism of Vectra-A, Liquid Crystal Copolyester through Dielectric Spectroscopy (DS) is their complex structure, which can be physically or chemically tailored for specific applications which make it suitable for charge storing devices like Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). The variation of dielectric constant (ε') and dielectric loss (ε'') in the temperature interval (25 oC to 250 oC) for pristine samples of Vectra-A at …
