Quark Contribution to the Magnetic Moments of Hypernuclei with Closed Core +Λ Configuration
Abstract: Abstract: We have estimated the magnetic moments of these nuclei in the Hybrid Quark Model. When the Λ-hyperon forms a six-quark bag with the core nucleons, the Schmidt values get modified. In the case of hypernuclei with closed core+configuration, the quark correction ranges between 0.1 to 2.1 %, the deviation being largest for. Earlier studies have shown that the comparison of predicted magnetic moments, with those of others calculations results …

Long-Period Fiber Grating Sensor to Determine Fluoride Contamination in Water
Abstract: The spectral response of uniform long period fiber grating is analyzed theoretically considering fluoride contaminated water as its surrounding medium. The response is studied for fluoride concentration variations ranging from 1 to 20 ppm. Our analysis is based on the study of shift in resonance wavelength of the grating with change in effective refractive indices of cladding modes due to change in fluoride ion concentration in water. Results provide insight …

Effect of Nanofiller on FTIR, DSC and DC Conductivity Studies of PVP Based Polymer Films
Abstract: Nanocomposite polymer films (NCPs) are prepared by doping of potassium acetate (CH3COOK) in polymer of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) by dispersing aluminium oxide (Al2O3) by different weight percentile ratios using solution cast technique. The obtained NCPs’ films were characterized and reported. Complex analysis between NCs and host polymer was confirmed by FTIR. DSC analysis states the glass transition temperature, Tg=77oC at which the phase transformation changes from glassy to rubbery amorphous …

Control of Real and Reactive Power Flow Using Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) in Integrated Power System (Electrical Grid and Wind Power Generation)
Abstract: Unified power flow controller (UPFC), as the name suggests is used to control the power flow in transmission systems. UPFC is a kind of flexible alternating transmission system (FACTS device) which is able to control both active and reactive power along with voltage magnitude as well as phase angle. This paper proposes the use of phasor model of UPFC to control the real and reactive power flow in integrated power …
