Gold Nanoparticles: Preparation, Characterization and Its Stability in Buffer
Abstract: Among the colorimetric detection tactics, metallic nanoparticle based detection is gaining more attention due to quickness and less resource requirement at the point of use. Unique chemical inertness, shape, size and optical attributes of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) make them ideal for various diagnostic tools. In this approach synthesized GNPs were stabilized by citrate counter ions. These GNPs were characterized for their optical properties, shape, size, zeta potential, and dynamic light …

Significance of Solution Combustion Synthesis (SCS) in Fabrication of Carbon Doped Organometallic Alumina
Abstract: Present work signified the potential of high temperature solution combustion synthesis (SCS) in rapid fabrication of “covalent-ionic” bonded organometallic aluminate. Natural herb “Piper longum” was used to obtain carbon. Aluminum nitrate served as a base chemical for oxide transformation. Exothermic platform for ignition was provided by propellant urea. Overall explosive decomposition of solution based precursor materials on typical temperature 700°C results in formation of organometallic C-γ-alumina in a well dry …

Structural Characterization of (Co, Mn) Co-doped ZnO Thin Films by Sol-Gel Spin Coating Method
Abstract: Cobalt (Co) and manganese (Mn) co-doped zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films were prepared by sol-gel spin coating method on quartz substrate by varying the dopants concentration. Co0.02Mn0.08Zn0.90O; Co0.05Mn0.05Zn0.90O and Co0.08Mn0.02Zn0.90O thin films were deposited using different rates of cobalt acetate tetrahydarte, manganese acetate tetrahydrate and zinc acetate dihydrate solutions. The effects of dopants concentration were investigated by x-ray diffraction (XRD). The XRD pattern shows that the deposited films have polycrystalline …

Study on Dielectric Properties of Nanostructured Composite of ZnO-La0.45Pr0.25Sr0.3MnO3 Bulk Ceramic
Abstract: In this study, nanostructured bulk composites of ZnO-La0.45Pr0.25Sr0.3MnO3 (LPSMO) were studied. These nanostructured composites were prepared by chemical solution technique. Nano particles of ZnO and LPSMO were mixed in weight ratio of 9:1 to prepare nanocomposite ceramic. Compared with pristine ZNO, nanocomposite of ZnO-LPSMO showed enhanced dielectric constant. The spin polarization (in ferromagnetic region) based quantum tunneling effect is used to explain the experimental results. Enhanced dielectric properties in nanocomposite …

Synthesis and Characterization of Zinc-doped CdO Nanopowder Prepared by Mechanochemical Method
Abstract: Zinc-doped cadmium oxide nanopowders with various Zn concentrations have been prepared using mechanochemical method. The structure and morphology of the as-prepared samples are investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The XRD result indicates that the average size of Zn-CdO powder is in nano range having a desired cubic phase. Surface morphology of sample is determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) …

Sonochemical Synthesis and Photo-Catalytic Study of Cd Doped Znse Nanoparticles
Abstract: Cd doped ZnSe nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized with sonochemical process by reacting high purity acetates and sodium selenosulphate at 343 K. The size of nanoparticles was calculated by using powder XRD. It shows the crystalline size ranging between 35.3 nm to 45.44 nm. XRD further shows that ZnSe nanocrystallites are polycrystalline in nature and belong to the hexagonal phase. SEM shows that the particles are spherical in shape. Effect …

Role of Solvent on the Synthesis Structure of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles
Abstract: Zinc oxide nanoparticles are synthesized by simple precipitation method in two different solvents, i.e., in distilled water and methanol. The zinc chloride and sodium hydroxide pellets are used as reactant precursors in both cases. The authors have analyzed the effect of solvents on crystal size and structure of zinc oxide nanoparticles. The samples were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques. The high absorption peak for zinc oxide …
