Application of GIS tools to the Improvement of Energy Supply in PV Rooftop Installations
Abstract: Present work studies the energy supply from photovoltaic (PV) installations in industrial conglomerates using the rooftops as a surface to install the PV panels. The study is based on a modelling procedure that takes into account the specific characteristics of the rooftop, shape, size, azimuth and inclination, using GIS tools to identify these parameters for every single rooftop. Modelling has been developed modifying the tilt angle of the PV panel …

Military Applications of MEMS Technology
Abstract: The paper is centered on the study of applications on MEMS based sensors in military regions. The study initially deals with a MEMS sensor which is capable of monitoring the missile altitude and its rotational roll rate along with its pitch and yaw. Missiles are being exposed to outer conditions and hence needs to be inspected continuously for its proper maintenance. Further in past few years the advancements in this …

A SMART DESIGN OF DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY NETWORK USING EPANET 2.0 SOFTWARE FOR CHITYALA, NANDIGUDEM, VADALAKUNTA AND BHIMOLU VILLAGES IN WEST GODAVARI DISTRICT OF ANDHRA PRADESH STATE
Abstract: Prevalence of a proper Domestic Water Supply Network, could be coined as a fundamental requirement for any borough for its proper functioning and survival. Even today, many villages including Chityala, Nandigudem, Vadalakunta, Bhimolu, Saggonda in Andhra Pradesh State are suffering adversely by the absence of this network. So, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is considerate to provide a suitable Domestic Water Supply Network for all these villages, to put forth …

CRITERIAL BASED SELECTION OF WATERSHED FOR PRIORITISATION AND CONSERVATION
Abstract: In case if a region consists of several watersheds, criterial based selection of watershed for prioritisation and conservation studies could be performed by considering various geoecological factors such as elevation gradients, geology (age), drainage parameters, mean annual temperature and mean annual rainfall of the watersheds. A study was performed in this background in Kangra region of Himachal Pradesh, India. This region comprises of 10 watersheds and among these, watershed 1B1B7 …

Rooftop Layout Optimization for PV Installation using GIS
Abstract: In this work, we develop a new modelling process to optimize the PV installation layout on industrial building rooftops; the model searches for maximizing the number of installed PV panels in a defined spot area, characterized by its shape, size, tilt and orientation. The study focuses on areas of latitude between tropics, but is useful for other latitudes. The method is applied to an industrial conglomerate of reference, made up …
