On the Associations of Solar Wind Parameters with Geomagnetic H Components during Intense Geomagnetic Storms
Abstract: Associations of geomagnetic H component with solar wind speed and pressure were studied using high resolution (minute) data and applying the method of cross correlation analysis. We analyzed these associations during 74 geomagnetic storms with Dst ≤ -100 nT in solar cycle 23 in view to investigate if the associations vary with the pattern of semiannual variation of geomagnetic storms, it’s intensity and phase of the solar cycle. The results …

SATELLITE IMAGE CLASSIFICATION USING MACHINE LEARNING
Abstract: Satellite imagery is used in for various applications such as disaster management, defence, surveys, and environmental understanding. Earlier, manual processing was applied to do analysis. These methods are not accurate to detect the target and classify the object. Hence, in this work machine learning is explored. Now a days deep learning has gain prominence to automate target detection and classification. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) are playing vital role in deep …

Mission Ever Towards Origin – The Remote Sensing
Abstract: Remote sensing appraisals alarm from any sides, views may be scientific to economics. Lightweight provisioning has been scored to decrease the weight of satellites from 100 kgs to 1 kg. Land cover surveys have procured zone wise changes in soil composition. These have views to form arena wide rescue for any subject to perform or link towards geologists, botanists, agriculturists, environmentalists, forestry, irrigation departments as well civil originated issues. Budgetary …

Geospatial Analysis of Biomass Distribution in Relation to Topography, Disturbance and Biological Richness in Forests of Kumaun Himalaya
Abstract: Biomass in forests of Kumaun Himalaya has been estimated using field sampling and remote sensing technique. Spatial distribution of biomass has been mapped and analyzed with reference to the topography, disturbance and biodiversity regimes. Biomass obtained in Kumaun Himalaya has been categorized in different classes from low to high biomass values. High biomass class (> 400 t ha-1) and moderate biomass class (300-400 t ha-1) showed 72% and 67% area, …
