Doping of Metal Precursors on Cadmium Selenide Quantum dots—A Review
Abstract: In this article, we review effects of doping on Cadmium-Selenide (CdSe) Quantum dots (QDs). Different dopants critically influence the properties and functionalities of nanocrystals (QDs). It is of strong interest to understand the structural characteristics of dopants and how they interact with the QDs. Differently, doped CdSe QDs were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The important results and measurements are discussed. CdSe quantum …

Thermocatalytic Decomposition of Methane for Sustainable Hydrogen Production using Ni/ZnO and Ni/MgO catalyst
Abstract: Hydrogen is considered as a fuel of future due to its environmental friendly nature. Thermo Catalytic Decomposition of Methane (TCD) is one of the most advanced method, which will meet the future demand and attractive way for COx free hydrogen production. In this paper, comparison study between Ni/ZnOand Ni/MgO catalysts for hydrogen production using thermocatalytic decomposition of methane. The effect of nickel weight percentage (10%, 20%, 30% and 40wt %) …

Brief Review on Synthesis of CdSe Nanomaterials
Abstract: Semiconductor nanomaterials which belong to II–VI groups of periodic tables are considered to be important class of materials for both fundamental research point of view as well as production of solid state devices. Among all II–VI groups of semiconductor nanomaterials, cadmium selenide is found to be one of the potential materials for the fabrication of optoelectronic devices and in biomedical applications because of its direct band gap nature and the …

Nanotechnology the Beginning of a Novel Pathway
Abstract: Nanotechnology has a great history. Even though its actual beginning point is not yet traced. Its roots lie in the fourth century A.D. After Feynman revolutionized the modern nanotechnology, a lot of developments had happened. Along with the historical and technological developments of nanotechnology, which raised a lot of regulatory gaps, and many approaches happened across the globe, in order to bring nanotechnology under one single umbrella. Still, it lacks …

Study of Antibacterial Activity of Cu NPs and Fluorescent C-Dots Based Nano-gel
Abstract: Post-operative infection is a serious health problem which is considered to be one of the major causes of mortality worldwide. To address this issue, anti-bacterial gels and antibiotics have been used since ages which serve the purpose of killing of bacteria, inhibiting their growth and restricting their passage to underlying tissues. Although different kinds of gels and creams have been used for this purpose, the nano-composite based gels are found …
