Nanoparticle Synthesis and Assessment of Toxicological Effects on Drosophila Melanogaster: A Review
Abstract: Nanoparticles are widely used for many decades now, in various fields like medicine, health, drug delivery, etc. It is observed that nanoparticles synthesized using physical or chemical methods possess toxic nature when exposed to a biological system. To overcome the harmful effects of nanoparticles a more eco-friendly approach known as green synthesis was applied during recent decades. In the green synthesis approach, biological entities are used for the production of …

Hardness and Wear Behaviour of AA8088 Alloy Reinforced by TiB2 Nanoparticles
Abstract: Using the stir casting technique, an attempt was undertaken to manufacture an aluminium alloy (AA) 8088 matrix reinforced with 0, 1, 3, 5 wt% TiB2 particles. The mechanical characteristics and wear behaviour of the material were investigated. To determine the level of improvement, hardness and tensile characteristics were measured before and after the addition of TiB2 particles. To validate the improvement in wear resistance, a pin-on-disc device was used to …

Size Dependence of Magnetization of Metal and Metal Oxides Nanoparticles
Abstract: Variation of magnetization of metal and metal oxides nanoparticle is a matter of great debate from last decade. Researchers are still striving for the exact theory to explain this property of materials at the Nano level. In the present work we have analyzed the magnetic properties of Fe3O4, CoFe2O4 and Ni nanoparticles and studied the variation of their magnetization with their sizes. We have also computed the variation of the …
