Abstract

AbstractThis paper reviews the recent studies of extraction of nanocellulose (cellulose nanofibers, nanocrystals, nanowhiskers, nanocrystalline cellulose, etc.) from sugarcane bagasse as agro-waste by different extraction methods such as acid-hydrolysis, alkaline-hydrolysis, enzymatic-hydrolysis, sonication, high-pressure homogenization, and shear ultrafine friction grinding, disk-grinder, including potential applications.
