Abstract: Metallic corrosion under adverse marine and industrial conditions imposes gigantic financial burdens and risks worldwide. Conventional waterproofing waterborne epoxy has passive barrier protection, but is also inherently microporous, lacking intrinsic repair ability against mechanical damage and thus rapidly decays.
