Thin Film Technology in Sensor Manufacturing – A Technical Discussion
Abstract: Thin‑film technology has become the cornerstone of modern sensor manufacturing, enabling the convergence of miniaturisation, multifunctionality, and cost‑effective mass production. This paper surveys the latest advances in deposition techniques—ranging from magnetron sputtering and chemical vapour deposition to atomic‑layer deposition (ALD) and ink‑jet‑printed sol‑gel processes—and examines how their unique material‑control capabilities translate into performance gains across the sensor spectrum (chemical, physical, and bio‑sensing). By integrating nanoscale thickness control (≤ 10 nm) …

Corrosion and Corrosion Protection of Unio in Carbonic Acid Medium
Abstract: Unio is a calciferous animal, and its outer surface is made of calcium carbonate. It usually happens in sources of sweet water. They create carbonic acid by absorbing carbon dioxide. It changes the pH of sweet water sources thus water becomes acidic. It develops corrosive environment for Unio. Carbonic acid interacts with Unio to form corrosion cells on the interface of Unio. This acid oxidizes calcium carbonate into calcium ions …

Properties of ZnO Thin Film deposited on Flexible Substrate using RF Sputtering
Abstract: Semiconductor materials demand is increased in recent years, due to new emerging technologies. There is need to find the alternate for silicon in electronics industry, as silicon is brittle in nature and has low efficiency, which makes it unsuitable for transparent and flexible device. Zinc oxide (ZnO) is emerging as popular choice of researchers due to its wide range of properties, abundancy and non-toxicity. This work explores the properties of …

Experimental investigation of thermally grown Indium film’s structural and tribological properties
Abstract: Indium thin film growth found numerous applications, such as cold welding of infrared detectors and readout-integrated circuits (ROIC) to form sensor chips. In film is grown on the Si substrate by thermal evaporation. The XRD results indicated the tetragonal bcc phase in the (101) preferential plane. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) indicated an uniform, continuous film covering the whole surface. The EDS examination confirmed the pure In film. The atomic force …
