Studies on Biosurfactants from Petroleum Contaminated Soil to Check its Application in Cosmetics
Abstract: Biosurfactant is basically known as surface active molecules, synthesized by different microorganisms. In the present study, biosurfactant producing strains PD1 and PD2 were isolated from the petroleum contaminated site, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, India. The isolates were screened by oil displacement and hemolytic methods. The optimization of different parameters was done with the aim of increasing product.
