Speech, Swallowing, and Hearing Characteristics in a Patient with Rhino-Orbital-Cerebral Mucormycosis Post COVID-19 Infection: A Case Study
Abstract: Mucormycosis is the third invasive mycosis caused by a growing number of members of the Mucorales; but recently, Rhino-Orbital-Cerebral Mucormycosis has been frequently reported in individuals with COVID-19. The affected areas must be surgically removed to inhibit the spread of illness. Due to the surgical removal of infected areas, individuals with Rhino-Orbital-Cerebral Mucormycosis may develop speech and swallowing issues.
