Estimation of Aqueous Solubility of Tri-n-Butyl Phosphate by Refractive Index Measurement at 298.15 K
Abstract: Presence of dissolved tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) in the aqueous nitric acid solutions, can lead to runaway reactions in presence of nitric acid at temperature more than 130o C. Therefore, the concentration of dissolved TBP in the aqueous nitric solutions is an important control parameter for safe operation of product/waste evaporators.
