Phosphorescence of Carbon Nanodots – The Phenomena and the Applications
Abstract: Photoluminescence has emerged as a fundamental phenomenon in modern biomedical science, enabling advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and theranostic applications through light–matter interactions at the nanoscale. The ability of photoluminescent materials to absorb electromagnetic radiation and emit light at distinct wavelengths has been widely exploited in bioimaging, biosensing, drug delivery tracking, and photodynamic therapy. Among various photoluminescent nanomaterials, carbon nanodots have attracted significant attention due to their strong emission intensity, tunable fluorescence, …

Exploring the Luminescent Behavior of Dysprosium-Doped Halo-sulphate Compounds
Abstract: In essence, this study aims toward understanding the photo-luminescent properties of Dy³⁺ halogenated sulfates, viz., synthesis, characterization, and luminescent behavior of the materials. Dysprosium ions are introduced into the halo-sulfate matrices to investigate their suitability for solid-state lighting applications. The aim of the study is to explain the mechanisms of the photo luminescence of Dy³⁺ and study the influence of the doping concentration on luminescence efficiency and the thermal stability …

Green Synthesis and Evaluation of Electronic and Optical Properties of CdS/CdTe Quantum Dots
Abstract: The CdS/CdTe quantum dots (QDs), with altered concentrations of CdS, were synthesized using straightforward precursors through an environmentally friendly green method. The synthesized quantum dots were characterization by UV–visible absorption spectroscopy, Photoluminescence (PL), and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) to understand their electronic and structural properties. The average particle size is nearly consistent with the values derived from Brus's formula. The UV–visible spectra show a blueshift compared with pure sample, …

Study of the CuS/CdSe Quantum Dots on the Optical Properties of Green Synthesis
Abstract: Chalcogenides based nanomaterials, such as CdSe are emerging as an important material offering transformative potential across multiple domains, such as photocatalysis, optoelectronics, sensing, and photo luminesce. In this study we synthesised CuS/CdSe quantum dots by varying CuS concentration through plant mediated green method. The copper sulfide synthesized at varying concentrations of the Se source, exhibited bonding configuration that are comparable to those of the Cd source. The goal of this …

Synthesis and Photoluminescence Dynamics of Europium (III) and Terbium (III) Co-doped of GdSrAl3O7 Color-Tunable Nanophosphors
Abstract: A series of Europium (III) and Terbium (III) co-doped GdSrAl3O7 color-tunable nanophosphors were synthesized by a simplistic, streamlined and self-propagating, urea-assisted solution combustion synthesis process. The structural and luminescence characteristics of synthesized Eu3+/Tb3+ co-doped Gadolinium Strontium Aluminate nanocrystalline phosphors were validated using powder X- ray diffraction (PXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive X- ray analysis (EDAX), and photoluminescence spectra studies. The morphological studies revealed that …
