Empirical Relation to Predict Essential Oil Yield in Conventional Distillation System
Abstract: Peppermint is medicinal herb, and its extracts (essential oils) are of great importance because they are used in pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic items. Moreover, peppermint oil is also used as anticancer, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, spasmodic, anti-diabetic, ulcer healing, anti-obesity, etc. Steam distillation method is used to extract essential oil from peppermint.
