Evaluation of Anti-ulcer Activity of Ethanolic Extract of Salacia fruticosa and Oldenlandia Umbellata
Abstract: In this present study the aerial and root parts of Salacia fruticosa and the entire herb of Oldenlandia umbellate were evaluated for its anti-ulcer property in Aspirin induced ulcer model and Pylorus ligation assays. Both plant materials were extracted with ethanol and given at the dose level of 200mg/kg orally after the LD50 studies to fix the dose.
