Integration of Polymer Chemistry in the Development of an Occlusal Plane Analysis Device
Abstract: Occlusal plane analysis has been transformed by the use of polymer-based materials in dental applications. The present study explores the integration of polymer chemistry into the design and manufacturing of a novel occlusal plane analysis device. Key polymeric materials such as polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyetheretherketone (PEEK), and fiber-reinforced polymer composites (FRPCs) are assessed for ease of fabrication, mechanical qualities, and biocompatibility.
