Impact of Shape, Size and Crystal Structure on Vacancy Related Properties of Gold Nanoparticles
Abstract: It is necessary to consider defects to explain the electron movement, thermal transport and mechanical properties of materials. In the present study, a simple quantitative model for cohesive energy of nanoparticles is extended to determine the size, shape and crystal structure effect on vacancy formation energy, vacancy entropy, and vibrational frequency in free surface Au nanoparticles. Vacancy entropy variation with size has been studied for spherical, regular octahedral, regular hexahedral …

Experimental Analysis Of Thermal Behaviour Of Phase Change Materials In Cooling Applications Of Roof Top Building Slabs
Abstract: In this research article, different phase change materials are incorporated inside the slabs to reduce the heat transfer from the roof. Experiments are conducted during summer season March 2021 to the time lag decrement factor and heat flux to that of results are compared with RCC slab to that of Green material I (CaCl26H2O) and Green Roof with Green material II (48%CaCl2+4.3%NaCl+0.4%KCl+47.3%H2O). On comparison Green Slab II is having better …

Studies on the Influence of Squeezed Stir Casting Parameters on the Strengthening Properties of AZ91Mg Alloy
Abstract: In this research, optimum squeeze stir casting parameters of AZ91 Mg alloy has been investigated by considering its strengthening properties. Melting temperature, squeezed pressure, and molding temperature is the key parameters that are considered for this investigation. The result of this research reveals that 750°C melting temperature, 250 MPa squeezed pressure and 250°C molding temperature represent a significant combination with its strengthening properties in AZ91Mg alloy. This combination is confirmed …
