Abstract: Catheter-associated infections (CAIs) remain a major clinical challenge. Microbial adhesion and subsequent biofilm formation on catheter surfaces significantly reduce the effectiveness of antimicrobial therapy, resulting in prolonged hospitalization, increased healthcare costs, and higher patient morbidity.
