The Future of Machining: Automation and Robotics in Modern Tools and Mechanics

  1. Richa .

Abstract

With the inclusion of automation and robots in current tools and mechanics, machining has undergone a substantial evolution. While robots has made it possible to automate difficult and repetitive jobs, automation has enhanced productivity, minimized errors, and increased regularity. Automation and robotics in machining have highly improved the industrial sector, delivering in more productivity, reduced prices, and better product quality. Automation and robotics will likely be used in machining increasingly more frequently in the future as technology progresses, thus according expectations. In this paper, the perks of automation and robotics in machining are briefly discussed. These advantages include increased efficiency, improved quality, lower costs, greater flexibility, and increased safety. The 1990s saw the publication of early studies on robot machining. Despite ongoing research on robot machining on a world basis ever since, the potential of robot applications in machining has not yet been fully revealed. The authors will first examine current advancements in robot machining in this paper. These research can be generally classified into studies on the construction of robot machining systems, planning of robot machining paths, analysis of vibration and chatter, including route tracking and compensating, dynamic modelling, or stiffness model construction. These analyses will probably enhance the precision and productivity of robot machining, as well as serving as helpful sources in the creation of robot machining systems for accepted globally assumed to be only CNC machines' competence.
