Characterizing Electromagnetic Behavior of X-Band Rectangular Waveguide with Convex and Concave Shaped Ridges Using Hp-Finite Element Method
Abstract: In this research study, we explore the behavior of electromagnetic waves as they propagate through ridge waveguides with convex and concave shapes, having both single and double walls. To analyze the waveguide's characteristics, we employ the highly accurate hp-finite element method (hp-FEM). The focus is on investigating the impact of these ridge deformations on cutoff frequencies and bandpass for TE10 and TE20 modes. To benchmark our findings, we compare the …

X- Band Microstrip Antenna for Radar and Amateur Radio Service
Abstract: Microstrip antennas and arrays are used as an alternative for the bulky and heavy weight reflector/slotted waveguide array antennas. For radars which demand a low profile, light weight antenna subsystem, the microstrip antennas are an ideal choice. The proposed antenna is designed in the X-band for the radar and missile application. It is a dual band antenna with resonant frequency of 8.5 GHz and 10.132 GHz having return loss 38.59 …

Substrate Integrated Waveguide Bandpass Filter with Cross Slots and CSRRs
Abstract: AbstractA wide Bandpass filter using cross slots and CSRRRs at X-band is presented in this paper. Half power bandwidth of 2GHz is achieved with transmission zeros on both sides. The insertion loss in the entire band is better than -1dB. A flat group delay is observed in the entire passband. Keywords: Band pass filter, CSRR, SIW, SlotCite this ArticleP. M Anju, A.O Lindo, C.K. Co-planar Waveguide Circular Ring Microstrip Patch Antenna for WLAN Applications
Abstract: AbstractA printed circular microstrip patch antenna with a four rectangular shape strip and co planar rectangular ground plane has been proposed. Four rectangles of dimensions 4.8mm x3mm are arranged in such a manner to achieve both the WLAN frequency band. The bandwidths of 341MHz and 414MHz are achieved having a resonant frequency of 2.37GHz and 5.45GHz respectively. This antenna is printed on the glass epoxy (FR4 lossy) of dielectric substrate …

A Compact CPW-fed Quadruple-band-notched Antenna with Concentric Annular-rings for UWB Applications
Abstract: In this paper, a compact coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed quadruple-band-notched antenna with concentric annular-rings for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications is presented. The proposed antenna consists of four concentric annular-ring resonators, a circular shape radiating element and a CPW feed line. The quadruple band rejection is easily achieved by controlling the widths and radii of four concentric annular-ring resonators. Through the exception of four stop-bands at 3.29 to 3.7 GHz, 5.07 to 5.92 …
