Theoretical Analysis of Volume/Weight Fraction of a Dual-Constituent Composite
Abstract: Conventional equations used in analysis of composite materials are modelled based on volume-averaging principle. The volume-averaging equations were re-evaluated to provide an alternative weight-averaging consideration as a result of the difficulty in practical determination of volume fraction of individual constituents of composite material, especially particulate composite. The equivalent weight-averaging equation analysis showed that density plays a significant determining factor in material selection of individual constituent; and composite density evaluated using …

Determination of Accurate Molecular Weights of Cationic Polyacrylamide Polymers through Advanced Gel Permeation Chromatography Triple Detection Technique
Abstract: AbstractGel permeation chromatography along with refractive index detector or UV detector provides relative molecular weight information along with PDI with respect to standard used. If standards are of different nature than sample such relative results just are used to compare polymers and co-polymers among themselves. These detectors fail to reveal information about other important polymer characters like size of polymer in solution (hydrodynamic volume), branching pattern and intrinsic viscosity which …

Anthropometric Measurements as Cardio-Metabolic Risk Factors Did Not Associate with Echocardiography Determinants in Type 2 Diabetes
Abstract: Obesity and Type 2 diabetes (T2D) are risk factors for cardiovascular events. Anthropometric measurements are considered as independent risk factors for these events. This study aimed to assess the link between anthropometric measurements that are considered as risk factors for cardiovascular events and echocardiography determinants in T2D. A total number of 50 T2D patients (20 males and 30 females) with a median age of 58.8 years were included in this …

Effect of silicon carbide on the mechanical properties of the rice husk, corn cob polymer matrix composites
Abstract: Throughout the world there have been alarming concerns over the use of non renewable resources during manufacturing of goods and associated environmental legislations. Therefore, the use of natural materials and fabrication of composites there from, particularly, development of natural fibre reinforced polymer composites is gaining significant attention. Although natural fibre reinforced composites (NFRCs) show strong application prospects, various materials and processing related challenges needs to be addressed to achieve long-term …

Nutritional, Functional, and Sensory Aspects of Beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.) and its By-products Enriched Bakery Products: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: Beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.) is a biennial herbaceous plant rich in essential nutrients, including dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Its high sugar content relative to calories and presence of phenolic compounds contribute to its health benefits, such as managing hypertension and exhibiting anticancer properties. Proper storage conditions are crucial for maintaining beetroot's quality. Recent studies have explored the incorporation of beetroot in various baked goods to enhance their nutritional …

Performance of Polymer Modified Polypropylene Fiber Reinforced Concrete
Abstract: AbstractThe fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) is a composite material essentially consisting of conventional concrete reinforced by random dispersal of short, discontinuous and discrete fibers of specific geometry. The conventional plain concrete possesses high compressive strength, low tensile strength, poor impact strength, ductility, and little resistance to cracking and poor resistance to chemical attack. The presences of micro-cracks at the mortar aggregate interface are responsible for the inherent weakness of plain …

OBD-II Big Data–Driven ML and AI-Based Virtual Sensing for Fuel Economy, Component Health, and Carbon Intelligence
Abstract: The rapid growth of connected vehicles has led to the large-scale availability of high-frequency On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II) data; however, much of this data remains underutilised, as existing studies and commercial systems typically address fuel economy, maintenance, or emissions in isolation or rely on additional physical sensors. Such fragmented and sensor-dependent approaches limit scalability and increase system cost, particularly in high-volume and resource-constrained vehicle markets. To address this gap, this …

Breathing prediction of fracture deviated wellbore through flooding mechanism
Abstract: Wellbore breathing is a common occurrence during drilling operations, but the down hole mechanism and how it manifests itself in surface and subsurface processes, is not well understood. It often result in a drilling fluid gain at surface and are misidentified as a kick, resulting in unneeded shut in periods and associated non-productive time (NPT). Further, misidentification of wellbore breathing as underbalance often results in increases in mud weight, which …

Exploring the Influence of Rice Husk Ash on Compressive Strength: Experimental Investigations in Construction Materials
Abstract: This paper aims to know the effect of rice husk ash on compressive strength 6 molds were collected and laboratory tests were conducted in cooperation with private laboratories in Baghdad Governorate, Iraq. The tests were conducted for a period of 7 and 28 days, where the samples were divided into 1 control and 5 samples distributed on a different percentage from 5% to 25% of the rice husks. The compressive …
